      Adam and Lee created a financial services practice dedicated to enhancing, improving and simplifying their clients’ financial lives.  They believe one of their fundamental roles is to ensure their clients’ long term needs. Each team member provides a distinct area of experience.


      Angela Cagwin

      Registered Client Service Associate & Director of Marketing

      Angela is our Registered Senior Client Associate, and joined ABLE Financial Group in 2015. Angela brings several years of financial services experience to the ABLE team and has worked for some of the world’s largest financial firms. Angela is highly trained on providing first-class client service and creating the ultimate client experience. She holds Series 7 and 66 registrations in the securities industry, Life Insurance Licenses for AZ, CA (License #0K24982), and NC, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from The University of Nevada Las Vegas.  Angela and her husband Gabe currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona where they enjoy spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling and, walking their two boxer dogs, Bentley & Jackson Rambo.


      Christy Sheridan

      Director of First Impressions & Registered Client Service Associate

      Christy has been in the financial services industry for over 5 years. Her experience includes working with high net worth clients at TD Ameritrade and more recently working as a Registered Client Service Associate at both Ameriprise and Wells Fargo Advisors for top producing financial advisors. Christy currently holds series 7 and series 63 registrations and an Arizona Life Insurance License. Christy’s role at ABLE Financial Group requires her to wear two hats. She serves the team as a Registered Client Services Associate and also as their Director of First Impressions. In her role as Director of First Impressions she brings over 20 years of white glove customer service experience to ABLE Financial Group.

      Christy moved to Arizona from Texas in 2015. She has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. She is excited to be a resident in Arizona and enjoys learning more about Arizona’s mountains, lakes and state parks. In her spare time Christy enjoys antique and muscle cars, car shows, road trips, reading and water activities.

        Growing up in a family business, Adam has a unique perspective on the challenges and successes of being a business owner.  He’s seen first-hand the commitment and dedication required to develop and nurture an idea into a successful business venture.   As a result, his clients experience the same level of commitment and passion necessary to accomplish their goals and objectives.

        As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) practitioner, Adam Brooks has been guiding individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations toward their financial goals since 1993.  Adam, along with Lee Eisinberg, co-founded ABLE Financial Group in 2006 after forming their partnership several years earlier at RBC Wealth Management.

        In addition to his work as a financial advisor, Adam has served as an adjunct faculty member of financial education courses.  He has taught a variety of courses at the community colleges within the Maricopa County and Central Arizona system, including “Successful Money Management Seminars” and “Rich Dad’s Cash Flow” courses.  Additionally, Adam previously hosted a radio show on KFNN 1510 AM for over two years called “The Truth about Money.”

        Adam is a 1993 graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned dual degrees in finance and accounting.  In 2003, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification which requires a specific educational background, vast experience, a demanding examination, and high ethical standards.

        When he is not serving the interests of his clients, he actively serves his community in a variety of leadership positions.  He recently completed a five year term on the Board of Directors of the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center, Adam is also a member of the Arizona Community Foundation’s Tax & Legal Seminar Committee, serving as the Incoming Chair for the 2014 and 2015 Events.

        Adam lives in Scottsdale with his wife, Cindy, and their three sons, Jordan, Dylan and Cameron.  He’s active in his children’s lives.  In April 2013, he and his son, Jordan, completed the 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz to raise money for Aquatic Safety and Training.


          • Managing Partner
          With more than 20 years of experience in the business and investment industry, Lee Eisinberg offers a distinctive blend of professional investment counsel and personal service.  Lee, along with Adam Brooks, Managing Partner, helped form ABLE Financial Group in 2006 after serving their clients of RBC Dain Rauscher for many years.  Prior to joining RBC Dain Rauscher, he worked for Merrill Lynch.

          Lee lives in Phoenix with his wife, Ellen, and they are enjoying being “empty-nesters,” with both of their daughters now college graduates living on the east coast. Having recently finished putting both his daughters through college Lee feels he understands the challenges parents face in financing the high cost of a college education.  Lee also has extensive experience in what some describe as the “sandwich generation” having dealt with the rewards, demands, and challenges of raising children and also dealing with aging parents at the same time. He enjoys serving his community and participates in the leadership of several nonprofit and business-development organizations.

          Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business and management from Syracuse University.   As an alumni he is active in the Syracuse Alumni group of Phoenix. In the past, Lee has shared his business knowledge with others as adjunct teacher of a “Rich Dad’s Cash Flow” course in the Maricopa Community College system.  Additionally, he writes financial and investment articles that are regularly published in local publications.

          Lee currently serves on the Board of Directors and as the Vice President of Planned Giving for the Phoenix Chapter of the Jewish National Fund. Lee is also a board member of The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix and has served on their Professional Advisory Committee for several years.  Lee also volunteers for other local non-profits in various capacities.

          As a strong believer in giving back to his community in terms of his time, Lee also believes in giving back charitably and trying to create a legacy for future generations.

          In his spare time Lee enjoys hiking and exercise and has been an extremely consistent attendee over the last 10 years at The Jewish Community Center’s early morning group who arrive to exercise at 5:30 am.


            • Financial Advisor
            Lane works closely with individuals and small businesses helping them plan and invest for the future.  He has helped them make tough decisions about when and how to retire, how to plan and pay education expenses for children and grandchildren, and how to identify and protect against the risks that jeopardize a successful investment plan.  He has personal and practical experience in helping his clients navigate the financial complexities of retirement, marriage, divorce, disability, death of a loved one, paying for higher education, changes in employment, and long-term healthcare issues.  Above all, he recognizes and values the personal nature of what he does for his clients, and appreciates the trust and respect that is needed in the advisor/client relationship.

            Lane is a 1985 graduate of Brigham Young University, earning a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance and Financial Planning.  While he values his formal education and regulatory licenses, he also takes great pride in the knowledge and practical education that comes from over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

            He has lived in Arizona since 1967, growing up in Mesa, where he still lives.  Lane and his wife Melenie have been married for 30 years and are the parents of five children (3 boys and 2 girls), with three currently in college, and two at home.  He has loved being a part of his children’s lives, supporting them in their endeavors either as their coach and instructor, or as a spectator and their number one fan.

            Lane and Melenie have served on the local high school booster club, helping raise funds for the athletic and music departments.  They are also both active in their church and are regularly involved in humanitarian and charitable projects. Lane has also served as a volunteer leader in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Scout Master.  In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and being outdoors.

              Larry Van Quathem, First Vice President, CFP® is an Arizona native who has grown up in the Financial Services business. His father Bob became a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch when Larry was just 7 years old. After achieving a B.S. in Finance in 1993 at the University of Arizona, Larry began his career with Merrill Lynch in 1995. Bob and Larry worked together for 11 years before his father retired after 31 years as a financial advisor in 2009. After 20 years of experience at Merrill Lynch, Larry decided to join the boutique firm of ABLE Financial Group in Scottsdale in 2015. He saw it as a great opportunity to increase the quality of service for his clients and to have more control over how that service is delivered.

              Larry is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM (CFP®) a certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He excels at listening to a client’s personal goals and then offering effective approaches to help achieve them using a written plan of action. Larry creates a personalized service model for each client that enables him to serve as a financial coach for his clients and make sure they are taking appropriate action to help reach their financial and life goals.

              Larry also likes to spend his time getting involved in the community. He currently volunteers for Delta Sigma Pi –a Professional Business Fraternity, serves on the Board of Directors for the Association for Supportive Child Care, and is a past active member of the Scottsdale 20-30 club. Professionally, Larry has been a member of the Central Arizona Estate Planning Council since 2010. Larry and his wife, Michele live in Phoenix with their son Jake. When he is not busy servicing his clients, he enjoys golf, tennis, and running.
