For three decades, Neal has helped his clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing strictly on the needs of each individual. Neal has seen his clients through multiple bear markets going back as far as 1987 and has the experience, knowledge, compassion and temperament to lead his clients through any market environment.

After completing his undergraduate work at Boston University and postgraduate studies in portfolio management, Neal began his career as a financial advisor with E.F. Hutton in 1985. Neal rapidly built a customer-focused practice where client success was not just measured on performance versus the major indices, but on whether we were able to navigate through the variety of critical financial challenges that all of us will face.

Neal remained at the firm, which ultimately became Smith Barney, until May of 2000 when he left to join the firm now known as Wells Fargo Advisors. Neal has earned numerous awards and designations including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification (CFP®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®). He was promoted to the title of Managing Director - Investment Officer at Wells Fargo Advisors in 2009. Neal was also selected as a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2019,2020, and 2021*

Neal and his wife Linda reside in Great Falls, Virginia. Linda is a successful government and institutional banker, also at Wells Fargo & Company. They have two children, Eric and Lexi, and a spunky cockapoo dog named Riley. 

Neal is a racquet sports enthusiast, particularly for tennis, racquetball and squash. He also enjoys taking an occasional afternoon off with his family and friends and playing 18 holes of golf.
