Devona loves spending time with her husband, Paul, and their two young sons, especially if they’re all camping together or if she can be involved in her sons’ school and social activities, including Little League. Often the first point of contact for many of Acequia Investment Group’s clients, Colleen diligently focuses on the client experience. Utilizing her background in human resources, marketing, sales, and management, she helps to ensure a smooth and easy process for each client. This often entails opening new accounts, making changes to existing account, and money movement requests. She relies on integrity, discipline, and accountability in striving to exceed each client’s expectations.
Prior to joining the industry, Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management. This experience taught her to go beyond the business relationship of those she works with, and instead develop relationships with them on a deeper level.
Outside of work, Colleen loves spending time with her friends and family, especially her husband, Josh, and their two children. She also enjoys camping and being outdoors any opportunity she gets, and as of late, she’s loved cheering on her husband and their kids as they participate in desert races on their dirt bikes. Colleen also spends time giving back to her community, including many years in which she volunteered with Special Olympics New Mexico.

The newest member of Acequia Investment Group, Nick joined the team in 2020 after working as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining the industry, he graduated cum laude from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Business Administration. These past experiences have solidified his belief that a strong investment plan is critical in building a foundation for financial well-being.
Together with the team, Nick works meticulously to ensure the plan and the process are both designed to be aligned with the client’s needs and the appropriate investment objective. He conducts thorough research with the objective of minimizing risk within each client’s portfolio, and for advisory accounts, he also seeks to ensure that the portfolios continue to be aligned with the client’s risk tolerance.
Away from the office, Nick and his wife, Morgan, are kept busy by their young son and two dogs. Morgan is a fitness enthusiast, and the family enjoys being outside with the dogs to stay active, whether they’re hiking, bicycling, or running together. In order to give back to his community, Nick is a Board Member of the Programs Committee of the CFA Society of New Mexico.
