At Acequia Investment Group, we consider portfolio management to be a consultative process in which we strive to match each client’s investment portfolio to their unique financial goals.

Our investment philosophy and approach are tailored specifically to each client’s needs. We begin by referencing the top resources in the industry, including Morningstar and others, to assemble our concentrated universe of investable assets. We then filter the results further to arrive at specific investment choices designed to help achieve the client’s objectives.

The way we see it, your assets aren’t just number on a sheet of paper – they are the tools that allow you to enjoy each day to its fullest extent and focus on what matters most in your life. It’s our responsibility as your investment advisors to act as your guide, and we do so by putting your needs above our own.

The Private Investment Management (PIM) Program

As a PIM Portfolio Manager, Devona Benavidez specializes in developing, maintaining, and customizing portfolios. With Devona serving as the dedicated portfolio manager, our team is able to create an investment portfolio that is designed to meet your individual needs, including tax-minimization strategies and income strategies where applicable.

Investment Selection

Portfolios are constructed utilizing both exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and actively managed funds. To further add value and differentiate, the portfolio manager uses individual stocks and bonds in accounts where appropriate.

Investment Screening

Investments in this portfolio strategy are generally screened on a regular basis. Frequency depends on the investment vehicle and includes an analysis of multiple fundamental and tactical factors, including costs.

Account Rebalancing

Accounts are rebalanced on a predetermined schedule. Accounts are also rebalanced following any significant deposit or withdrawal, or after an investment objective change.

The PIM program is not appropriate for all investors. Please carefully review the Wells Fargo Advisors advisory disclosure document for a full description of our services. The minimum account size for this program is $50,000.

Envision® methodology: Based on accepted statistical methods, the Envision tool uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation, the Envision tool simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return, and correlation amongst the assets. Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Others will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
