Beverly V. Bishop, II, APMA, AIF
Beverly, has been a Financial Advisor to individuals and institutions since 1993. His philosophy has been to educate his clients in the many facets of investing and wealth management. His ability to help his clients achieve confidence in regards to the challenges of wealth management is his utmost concern.
Beverly, holds the Series 7, 63, 65 registrations. Beverly is a Registered Investment Advisor in Mississippi and Texas. His current designations include the Accredited Investor Fiduciary (AIF) Designation. The focus of the AIF designation is on mitigating the legal and practical scrutiny that investment fiduciaries and professionals are exposed to. Beverly also holds the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) designation. The focus of this designation is on modern portfolio theory, client assessment and suitability, making asset allocation decisions (including buy, sell and hold decisions) and building portfolios.
Beverly’s associate at Penn Street Investments, LLC is Kayron Gaddy. Ms. Gaddy, has been in the investment business for over 20 years. Her pride is in providing our clients the absolute best customer service experience possible. She strives to provide our clients with clear and concise communication with a smile and gentle southern charm. Kayron was born and raised in Brandon, MS and now resides in Madison, MS.
Beverly was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He attended St. Andrews Episcopal School and graduated in 1985 as an Alpha to Omega student. Beverly went on to attend Jackson State University on a football scholarship. He graduated from Jackson State University with a B.S. in Finance in 1989.
Beverly joined the Deposit Guaranty management training program in 1989. There he worked as a lender and operations consultant until he moved to Deposit Guaranty Investments in 1993. He remained with the company through the various mergers of Deposit Guaranty, First American, Amsouth and Regions until he moved to Legg Mason in 2000. He remained with Legg Mason until it merged with Smith Barney in 2005. After that merger Beverly moved to Morgan Stanley until they merged with Smith Barney in 2010. Beverly chose to move to Stifel Financial in 2010 until he chose to go independent with Wells Fargo Advisor Financial Network and start his own company Penn Street Financial, LLC in July of 2019.
Beverly is married to Dr. Rhea Williams-Bishop. They have three children. Trey Bishop, Mimi Bishop, and Russell Bishop.
