Helping Families prepare for critical financial events in their lives is rewarding. Whether it is preparing for a comfortable retirement, ensuring children and grandchildren are financially prepared to pursue their education or to travel the world, goals and objectives are unique to every client.  “The feeling you get when you can tell a client that they can retire on their terms or send their loved ones to the school of their choice is a great one.”

Many client relationships have expanded to the second and third generations.  It is not uncommon for a next generation client to let Rene know that the family has appreciated the relationship that has been formed over years of advice and service.

Background and experience

Rene started his career more than 25 years ago as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in Chicago, Illinois.  There he learned the ins and outs of the Equity and Fixed Income markets, forming the base of his Investment Planning knowledge.  Rene joined Norwest Investments (now Wells Fargo Advisors) in 1998, where he has continued to advance his knowledge and career.

Education is something that is very important to Rene.  He earned a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1994.  Then, after completing an advanced educational program and passing a rigorous examination, Rene became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) practitioner.

Away from the office

Rene spends time with his wife, Shannon, a flight attendant and their three adult sons, Reece, Chris, and Kyle.  They enjoy Shannon’s travel benefits and have some great trips that have taken them coast to coast of the U.S.  “Sometimes, the best trips are where you just explore.”  Rene and Shannon enjoy taking advantage of the great bike trails in Minneapolis and love spending time at the family lake cabin.  After growing up in Chicago, down the street from Wrigley Field, Rene is also a diehard Cubs fan.

Our work together begins and ends with you in mind.  While some clients may prioritize educating their grandchildren or establishing a legacy, others may value buying a vacation home or traveling the world.  Helping clients identify, prioritize and achieve their financial goals is what drives me. 

Throughout our relationship, we will work together to create an action plan that will continuously be reviewed to ensure we are on track to meet your goals.  My goal is to empower you to make the best decisions that will have real and lasting impact on your life and future generations.

Background and experience

Leading up to my joining of Wells Fargo Advisors, I worked at Prudential Financial as a Financial Advisor assisting individuals and families with retirement goals. Prior to that I worked in data analytics, developing the ability to find unique solutions to unique needs. These experiences have helped inform and shape the services I offer to the clients I work for today.  Every conversation starts with you, your family, and your goals.  Our work together enables you to live your best life.

Away from the office

The University Of Minnesota- Carlson School Of Management is where my finance career began, which led to a degree in Finance and Business Analytics. As a student I was able to study at the Alliance Manchester Business School which allowed me develop a new perspective by working with students from all around the world.  In my free time I surround myself with the people I care about- family and friends. We like to watch baseball, play golf and spend days on the lake. During the fall months I spend my weekends at the baseball diamond coaching youth baseball.

As a Senior Registered Client Associate with Wells Fargo Adviors, Jeanene’s focus is on providing an exceptional client experience to the families we serve and a top level of internal services to the advisor team.  She is responsible for delivering high-touch service in all operational and administrative needs of our clients. 

Jeanene has been an Associate with Wells Fargo Advisors since 1993.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in Business/Marketing.  Jeanene and her husband Mark enjoy gardening, classic cars, riding motorcycle, and spending time with their beloved pets Mila and Lucy.

My experience in banking, education and business allows me to connect with anyone.  I love nothing more than sitting down with someone to discuss their life and what brings them the greatest happiness.  Upon moving back from nearly a decade of working in education in China, working with Wells Fargo has been a rewarding change.  And moving from Wells Fargo Bank to Wells Fargo Advisors has provided exciting new opportunities for making a difference for our clients.

Our family grew up in the Lake Minnetonka area and we now live in Hopkins upon returning from China.  I enjoy spending time with family and traveling; my daughter Trinity lives in St. Paul and enjoys the outdoors with her friends.  Even though we love our German heritage cuisine, we also enjoy eating and preparing foods from around the world.
