Christopher Murphy

Christopher Murphy is the Managing Director – Market Leader for the Wells Fargo Advisors Minnesota–North Dakota Market. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has led that market since 2014, focusing on growth, advisor development, and creating an environment that supports outstanding client experiences. Chris is passionate about coaching financial advisors and their teams, helping them achieve consistent results while effectively managing risk.

A graduate of Providence College with a degree in Management Science, Chris holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, and 65 registrations, as well as Minnesota Life and Health Insurance licenses. He is committed to helping advisors build successful businesses by leveraging the resources, flexibility, and capabilities available through Wells Fargo Advisors. His leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys traveling with his wife, Cintia, and together they have visited more than 50 countries. He is conversant in Portuguese, a former private pilot, and an enthusiast of classic and sports cars. Chris is also active in the community, serving in leadership and advisory roles with organizations including the Wells Fargo Minnesota Public Affairs Council, the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and Greater Twin Cities United Way.
