John helps enhance the lives of his clients, the foundation of which he believes if freedom, freedom to live the life they choose, knowing they have someone helping them plan and navigate the way.
Background and Experience
John has helped clients develop financial strategies since 1995 and focuses on each individual’s specific needs. With experience throughout major shifts in the markets, John has dedicated his career to delivering personalized investment planning services. John began his career as a Financial Advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in the Chicago area, where he developed his fundamental investment knowledge and training. After deciding to move to the South, John was hired to start an investment branch at a bank in Hilton Head, SC. In time, he was moved to Myrtle Beach take on a larger role and coverage area. Working with Raymond James Financial Services at Coastal Federal Bank, John provided personalized financial advice for individuals, families and businesses. After the bank’s acquisition, John worked with BB&T Scott & Stringfellow at the same Myrtle Beach location. John feels strongly that education is an important part of individual success and Freedom. He attended Eastern Illinois University, graduating with a degree in Management. During that time, John trained in the US Army and served with the Illinois National Guard in the 106th Aviation Regiment. Through his military experience, John learned to enjoy exploring new places, met new people from around the world and learned the value of hard work and leadership. He received his Master’s Degree in Finance from the College for Financial Planning.
Away from the office
John likes to spend his free time in the outdoors traveling, boating, fishing, hiking, biking and riding his 4 wheeler. Being committed to education, he served on the board of Brunswick Community College for 12 years. John is active in Brazlian Jiu Jitsu and with local organizations that help wounded US Veterans.
