As a Managing Principal and PIM Portfolio Manager, Darren is one of the few who holds the Certified Trust Financial Advisor designation. Awarded by the American Bankers Association (ABA), CTFA credentials have enabled Darren to work with clients’ tax and legal advisors, to help review and refine client estate plans with the objective of reducing expenses, minimizing tax liability and improving operations. From 2005 through 2011, Darren served on the Board of the ABA’s Institute of Certified Bankers to help develop CTFA testing and competency standards. In addition, he has taught as an instructor for the CTFA exam at Emory University and recently authored content and revisions for the 2012 edition of the “ABA Wealth Advisory and Personal Trust Services.” Darren is a graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He has lived in Naples since 2005 with his wife and three children. During his spare time, Darren fights to help preserve the legacy of veterans who fought during WWII. Under the auspices of the American History Forum and other international non-profit organizations, Darren is a speaker to veteran groups and he also guides tours at D-Day battle sites in Normandy, France.
