Gary Kwawer, CFA
Financial Advisor
Gary has a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Chemistry from Tulane University. Experiencing life across the West Coast, New Orleans, and the Midwest, he obtained a diverse educational, geographical, and cultural background. This background, paired with his pursuit for constant learning and helping and educating others, led to his career in the financial industry. Gary started in 1988 with A.G. Edwards and Sons, Inc., a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, beginning a career spanning over 35 years as a Senior Financial Advisor. In 2001, he attained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, regarded by most to be the key certification for investment professionals, especially in the areas of research and professional management. In 2021, Gary co-founded the Kwawer Callahan Investment Consulting Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, a multi-family office addressing the glaring need of successful business owners, executives, high performers and their families to have a centralized team that oversees and manages their entire complex financial picture. Gary is active in both business and civic life in St. Louis. He has been a 3-time consecutive Past Master of St. Louis Missouri Lodge #1, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Since 2004, he has served as Director of the Photography staff of Moolah Shrine, responsible for memorializing and archiving the events and activities of Moolah Shrine in the St. Louis area. He also spends much of his off time riding his motorcycles, practicing his hobby of photography, reading, physical training, travelling, pursuing diverse culinary experiences, and sipping fine scotch.
