Gary Munowitz

Gary Ford Munowitz is an Executive Director – Branch Complex Director for Wells Fargo Advisors overseeing the Westport Complex, including the Westport and Danbury offices. Gary has over 35 years of experience in the Financial Services and Wealth Management industry as an accomplished and results-driven financial services executive with decades of experience in wealth management, capital markets, risk assessment, and team leadership. Throughout his career, Gary has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive revenue and lead high-performing teams. His leadership roles at J.P. Morgan Securities and Bear Stearns & Co. included heading capital markets and business development, where he played a pivotal role in transforming infrastructure, integrating business lines, and expanding the firm’s national footprint. He has successfully led recruiting efforts and executed capital markets transactions totaling hundreds of millions in revenue. His expertise spans recruiting, strategic planning, regulatory compliance, investment products, and cross-functional collaboration. A summa cum laude graduate of the State University at Albany with a B.S. in Accounting, Gary is a Certified Public Accountant (non-practicing) and holds multiple FINRA registrations. He lives in Ridgefield, CT and has been married to Stacey for 29 years. They have four amazing sons and a daughter-n-law, Zachary (Elyssa), Tyler, Jack and Cooper, having great fun when all are together with dog Sawyer whether coaching sports, eating, hiking or hanging out. Gary is a long-time congregant (and former Board Member) of Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester and Congregation Shir Shalom of Fairfield County.
