James, can you help me fill out my retirement papers? Pension, health care, all the documents that I have to send in that is going to make this decision final. Now I get this question all the time, and we usually enjoy sitting down with someone and helping them make these elections because some of them are irrevocable. You can't change your mind after you do it. So going through this with a client recently, uh, was very eye opening in the sense that they were concerned about their income and spending in retirement.

And what was fun about this is that when we ran the numbers, their current take home pay is less than they were going to get from their pensions and Social Security. And the concern there was what if we start spending more money? And I was able to mention we we've built up quite a note. I was able to mention, we've built up quite a little nest egg that can fund any shortfalls from your cash flow. And sitting down with people when they're this close to retirement, there is lots of anxiety and stress and uncertainty.

And one thing that we've been able to do with our planning process is help people set up a process to feel confident about the decision to sign those forms.
