Hey there, James Mayer, Sunday Evening Thoughts.

I’m driving around in the city that I live in, and I see a sign that says, “Husbands are not allowed to buy flooring without a note from their wife.” And this sign always makes me laugh. What I find this is very valuable with this sign is that when you’re planning for something as permanent, and in my case, flooring is good for 5-10 years before we change our mind, that you want both spouses involved in the decision. This is true in so many aspects in life. What I found in the financial world is typically one spouse takes charge and sometimes they both don’t come to the meetings. When planning for retirement you need both members of the team present sharing their goals and dreams and thoughts. And building a plan together.

Quick Sunday night thought Hope you have a great summer.
