Hello there. This is James Mayer. Quick thought for the night is how we talk with our new clients. Last week I had a conversation with a new couple and one of the things that I really want to do is I want to ask really good questions, and I want to do my absolute best at actively listening to their responses. And in doing this with this couple, we were able to have some really great follow up questions and a much better discussion.
One of the things that we did kind of uncover is a way that their beneficiary designations were set up. Now, this couple has specific wishes about how they want things handled, and I'm not exactly sure that was going to be carried out the way that they want it. So the lesson today is simply, if you have specific wishes for when something happens to you and your spouse, make sure you're reviewing those designations at least annually. So quick thought of the night. Hope you all have a great week.
Thank you.
