James has been a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors since 2003. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their life goals by optimizing their personal investment plans. James holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification as well as the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation.

Prior to making the leap for his own goal of becoming a financial advisor, James worked in the engineering field for fifteen years. James earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.

This technical background, and on-going education, has provided James with a set of skills well suited to help his clients. James employs comprehensive analysis in developing customized client plans and constructing detailed portfolios.

James and his wife Barb, who is a children’s book author, have lived in Whatcom County since 1996. Both of their children graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla and are now pursuing their own dreams. Whenever they get together, their family enjoys sports, theater, bookstores, and their small farm.

Ashley joined Wells Fargo Advisors in April of 2022. Originally from the Bay Area in California she relocated to Washington State after completing her college education. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration from California State University Long Beach and three Associate of Art degrees in History, Studio Art, and Illustration.

Like with her education, Ashley is detail oriented and translates that into her role as a Client Associate. With a focus on excellence, she takes pride in assisting James to provide a high level of service for his clients. She looks forward to furthering her education in the finance industry so as to be of even greater assistance.

In her copious free time Ashley likes to work with her hands by spinning yarn, knitting, and tinkering with the PC she built in 2020.
