Michael Walsh, Managing Partner and Branch Manager, co-founded Juniper Wealth Advisors in 2009. He specializes in comprehensive wealth management and investment planning to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals.

After starting his career at Nuveen Investments and Smith Barney Asset Management in institutional asset management, Mike has now spent more than two decades helping individual clients shape their financial goals and develop strategies for success based on each client’s specific needs. He appreciates clients who value collaboration around financial decisions, a personal relationship, and clear communication.

In 2007, Mike earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP^®) professional certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

An Illinois native, Mike moved to Colorado with his wife in 1998. When not in the office, they enjoy wandering the Rocky Mountains with their three children. Mike also enjoys riding his bicycle, which has included finishing the Leadville 100 mountain bike race, formerly serving as a board member of Boulder Junior Cycling, and riding to work. In fact, Mike has yet to find a kind of biking he doesn’t enjoy.

Amy Hiett became a Managing Partner of Juniper Wealth Advisors in 2009 after building a successful financial services practice at Smith Barney. Prior to joining the financial services industry, she worked for more than a decade in various roles within the technology industry, including AT&T and Sun Microsystems, and she served as the General Manager for a Denverbased software company.

Amy received her MBA in International Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2000, and she has undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from Kansas State University.

Amy is active in the non-profit community and recently served as President for the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Boulder County. When not serving her valued clients, Amy enjoys traveling the world, biking, hiking, and volunteering.

With a Masters of Business Education from California State University, Los Angeles, Barb has been in the brokerage business since 2003.  As Senior Registered Sales Associate, she works with high net-worth individuals many of whom are philanthropists.  Over her almost 20 years in the investment management field, Barb has enjoyed turning clients into friends and gaining the trust and confidence that is required to serve clients well.  Barb was born and raised in California, and moved to Colorado in 2015.  She and her husband Doug love hiking in the Rocky Mountains.  She has 4 grown children and this year welcomed her first grandson.

Our newest team member is Kirsten Cookman.  She joins us in the role of Operations and Administrative Manager, after working 13 years in the Wells Fargo Advisors branch as a client associate.  Kirsten excels at wearing the many hats required in her role. We feel her positive attitude toward client connection helps support clients with their administrative and operation’s needs.  Kirsten is a longtime Coloradan and has three beautiful children.
