Laura Pope, CIMA®, has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. She now serves as Managing Director-Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors. She has been a Wells Fargo Advisors Premier Advisor, an award held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured completion of educational components, business production and professionalism since they instituted the group in 2006. Additional criteria, including length of service may also be used to determine recipients. She has been a guest speaker at various educational conferences for Smith Barney, Prudential Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors.
She completed the IMCA certification program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania & was awarded the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification in 1995. To earn this credential, one must demonstrate knowledge of over 100 planning concepts, pass a rigorous examination, adhere to a strict code of ethics, and fulfill annual continuing education requirements. She has been an active member of Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) for over 20 years. Laura holds her Series 7, Series 31, Series 63, Series 65 registrations and her Insurance Licenses.
She did her undergraduate studies at Ohio State University. She has lived in Los Angeles since 1979 and currently lives with her husband Craig Smith in Woodland Hills.
Laura enjoys competitive ballroom dancing, bicycling, hiking, and is a collector of fine letter openers. . Another of Laura's passions is volunteering and giving back to the community. She is a deacon with BelAIr Church and is an active volunteer and donor to the following organizations: Family Rescue Center, Susan G Komen, Scleroderma Research Foundation, International Justice Mission, Room to Read, The Music Center.
