Alan Lawrence, CFP, CLU, ChFC
Senior Vice President - Investments
Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager
I offer a detailed, methodical discovery approach in an effort to help clients identify and reach their most important financial and philanthropic goals. This includes working closely with their accountants, attorneys, and other professionals to help achieve them. My goal is to build a comprehensive wealth management plan designed to help clients keep their promises to themselves, their family, and the community in which they live.
I began my career in 1988 as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments in Edmonds, Washington. In addition to working with my clients, I served as a Regional Leader for Edward Jones beginning in 1998, becoming a General Partner with the firm in 2001. I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree from Wichita
State University and a Master’s in Music Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. To enhance my knowledge in the field of wealth management, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification from the College for Financial Planning in 2003 and the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation from the American College in 2006. Each of these programs required me to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements.
Currently, I volunteer as a musician with Philharmonia Northwest Chamber Orchestra. I have served as President of the Edmonds Center for the Arts Board and a member of the Cascade Symphony Orchestra Board. I have been a committee chair for my local church, volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America, member of several Edmonds business groups, and Financial Advisor to the Hazel Miller Foundation. My wife and I live in Edmonds, Washington near our three adult children and three grandchildren. We enjoy a myriad Pacific Northwest activities including running, boating, skiing and travel.
