Director – Magnan Family Wealth Management
Our firm has experienced an increase in interest from folks keen on discovering the unique financial services we offer. I thought this would be a good moment to review our process for meeting with potential clients. Of course, we take pride in extending our expertise to your family and friends, ensuring they receive the same level of care and attention that you’ve come to expect from us.
Introduction Meeting:
The Introduction Meeting is a one-hour session that sets the stage for our partnership. Available in-person, over the phone, or via Zoom, this initial encounter does not require providing financial documents or detailed numbers. It is more about building a connection and exploring the possibility of developing a comprehensive plan together. For married couples, we recommend that both spouses be present throughout the three-meeting process to ensure a unified vision for their financial future.
During this session, we’ll explore our firm’s core values, introduce our dedicated team, and explain our transparent process, including our compensation structure. Discussions will revolve around topics like the inherent volatility in the prices of company ownership (stocks), mitigating the risks of inflation, and the advantages of independent, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ advice. We’ll also discuss our comprehensive balance sheet services, which include estate planning, debt management, insurance optimization, and tax-saving strategies.
The conversation will then turn to their personal values and aspirations. We learn about their past experiences and current situation.
Should we agree to proceed, we’ll embark on a meticulous planning phase. It is important to illustrate that there is no cost or obligation to proceed, and everything discussed in the plan remains confidential.
Goals & Guesses Meeting:
The Goals & Guesses Meeting, also an hour long, is where we delve into their future aspirations and current financial situation. Recognizing even the most tentative goal as a positive step, we aim to shed light on their financial path. This meeting is about discovering the unspoken goals and the questions that haven’t yet asked, providing a thorough understanding of the values, dreams, and any unique factors influencing financial decisions.
Data Gathering:
We will follow up with a detailed checklist of the information required to develop the plan, encompassing loans, investments, pensions, and/or retirement accounts. We ensure the secure and confidential transfer of these documents, whether through encrypted digital means or a pre-arranged FedEx delivery to our office.
Plan Recommendation Meeting:
Once we have all the necessary information, we’ll invite them to a Plan Recommendation Meeting. Ideally held in our office, this one-hour session is where we present our collaborative efforts. We’ll discuss the tax implications, fees, and the pros and cons associated with current and proposed financial strategies. This meeting is integral to making the plan as interactive and individualized as possible.
Once again, there is no cost or obligation for this plan, and their privacy is our utmost priority.
Upon mutual agreement to proceed with the recommended strategies, we commit to implementing them in an independent, objective, unbiased, and cost-effective manner.
