Thomas R. North is a Managing Director - Investments with Wells Fargo Advisors in Carmel, California. Tom has been helping oversee the financial affairs of high-net worth families, trusts, endowments and individuals for more than 39 years. He and his team focus on wealth management planning, risk allocation and retirement income management. Tom is also a Portfolio Manager in the Private Investment Management Program (PIM) and holds CA Insurance License Number: 0A73767 Resident State: CA.
Tom has been a lifelong resident of Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula. He attended local schools and graduated from Carmel High School in 1971. Tom helped run a family business while attending Monterey Peninsula College. From 1975-1979 Tom attended Maharishi University of Management, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. At MUM, Tom was a member of student government and played intercollegiate basketball and baseball. In 1998 Tom attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where, in conjunction with the Investments and Wealth Institute (IWI), he received the professional designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
Tom has practiced Transcendental Meditation since 1975 and the TM Sidhis Program since 1978. Tom is married to Connie North and has 2 grown daughters. He is a member of the Carmel Rotary Club where he is a Paul Harris Fellow. Tom is an avid Scuba diver and free diver, and a member of the Monterey Sea Otters Dive Club. He donates much of the bounty he collects from the sea to charitable organizations. He also enjoys swimming, cycling, yoga and writing.
Tom is the award winning and best-selling author of “True North, The Shocking Truth about Yours, Mine and Ours,” the true story of his experience as one of the 20 Beardsley children made famous in the 1968 film starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. Tom is working on his second book- “The Richest Man in China.”
