Background and experience
I am the founding member of the Slates Wealth Management Group of Northpointe Wealth Management. I am a Private Investment Management Portfolio Manager and the Managing Partner. I have been a Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network Platinum Council Advisor consectively from 2007-2023. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held be a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients.
For over three decades I have helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. With extensive experience in markets both good and bad, I have dedicated my career to delivering the promise of personalized investment planning services clients seek and deserve.
I began my career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Columbus, where I developed fundamental investment knowledge. In 2004, I earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) certification by completing a rigorous educational program at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. I joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2007 to take a team approach in providing personalized financial advice for individuals and families.
In March, 2022, our team moved to the Independent channel at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network and formed Northpointe Wealth Management. I am an active member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), a leader developing a code of conduct, disclosure, and ethical standards for the financial services industry.

I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Organizational Behavior with a minor in Economics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. At Brown, I was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and a four-year starter in football, earning All-Ivy honors in 1990.
Away from the office
I serve on several non-profit boards, including Dublin Methodist Hospital development board, LiFESports, providing life skills through sports to our most vulnerable youth, and the 3rd & Goal Foundation, serving America’s wounded warriors. I spend my free time with my wife, Dawn, and our four extremely energetic children; Regan, Layne, Joey, and Brynn. The Slates family stays active both physically and mentally, whether it’s coaching or playing several sports; including: football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and tennis.

Focus
Tim takes great satisfaction in not only helping clients navigate the capital markets, but also being an important part of their financial lives. He takes pride in potentially helping clients make better financial decisions and he feels treats each client as if they were part of his family.
Background and experience
Since 1994, Tim has helped his clients and their families create and preserve multi-generational wealth through maintaining a focus on their long-term financial goals.
Tim began his career with Kemper Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. He formed Mardas Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors to help provide his clients with comprehensive investment planning.
Tim has been awarded the Five Star Wealth Manager award1 for seven consecutive years, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and was recently named to Forbes magazine as one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors2 for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Tim graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
As a lifelong resident of Columbus, Tim believes in giving back to the community. He is a member and past president of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board where he also chaired the Woody Hayes Celebrity golf outing. Tim is also a member of the Tri-Village Rotary club where he has served as the Fundraising Chair and will be President of the club in 2023-2024.
Away from the office
Away from the office, Tim likes to spend his free time with his wife, Amy, and their three children; Madeline, Bergan and Gavin. Tim and Amy spend most of their time attending school sporting events for their kids and when their schedules permit, they enjoy traveling. Tim can also be found walking their dog; Mona around the neighborhood and if time ever permits, Tim enjoys playing golf.

In 2003, I began my career as a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services in Columbus, where I developed my fundamental investment knowledge. In 2007, my business associate, David Slates, Managing Director - Investments and I joined AG Edwards, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, to take a team approach in providing personalized financial advice for individuals and families.
I have been named a 2023 Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network Platinum Council recipient and have been since 2014. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. In 2019 I earned a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
I earned a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton. Before becoming a Financial Advisor, I spent 5 years performing research and development for the Department of Defense.
Away from the office
I spend my free time with my wife, Paige, a practicing dentist, my twins, Noah and Isabelle and my stepsons, Evren and Emre. Much of our free time is spent watching our very active children compete in club soccer. Beyond that, I love to find time to watch the Buckeyes and entertain my family and friends.

Background and experience
I began my career as a Financial Advisor with Prudential Securities in Columbus in 1993. I spent 13 years building a diverse clientele of individuals, retirees and small business owners before joining Smith Barney in 2005.
In December 2018, I joined the Slates Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, taking a complete team approach to planning and portfolio management. I focus on a myriad of financial situations with clients that address their unique needs from financing a small business, to bridging short term financing, or enabling a new retiree to realize their retirement dreams.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University. I was a Product Manager for a division of Black and Decker, maker of semiconductor capital equipment, as well as holding product presentations throughout the world for nine years prior to becoming a Financial Advisor.
Away from the office
I have been married to my wife, Lori since 1984. We have two grown children, Sarah and Ben. Since 1996, I have managed and organized the Salvation Army Shooters for Food Event. This event completely supports one of the three food banks in Central Ohio. In addition, I have been on the St. Brenden’s Finance Committee
(Hillard, OH) since 2022. In my spare time, I enjoy dog training and bird hunting across the country.

Background and experience
Since 2011, I have helped manage assets for individuals, trusts, retirement plans, and businesses. Through a long-term investment approach, I help clients develop and implement strategies for building wealth and realizing their goals.
In 2011, I joined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Client Associate in downtown Columbus. There I helped set up retirement programs, conducted financial research and assisted clients with their accounts. In 2012, I obtained my Series 7/Series 66 registrations and became a Financial Advisor.
In 2023 I became a CFA Charter holder which is a globally recognized designation that attests to success in a rigotous and comprehensive study program in the investment management and research industry and a commitment to ethical conduct.
I am a proud graduate of Ohio State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a specialization in Security & Intelligence. I spent the early part of my career in the retail, service, and construction industries.
Away from the office
A lifelong resident of Grove City, I am committed to giving back to my community. I volunteer as a coach for both youth soccer and basketball and am involved with Rock City Church and mission work in El Salvador. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife Kory, a busy stay-at-home mom, and our children, Austin, Quinn, and Chloe as well as enjoying an active lifestyle filled with cycling, backpacking, camping, and watching Ohio State University athletics and Blue Jacket’s hockey.

Focus
Will began his career in 2007 with Ulster Bank Ireland Ltd., a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland in Dublin, Ireland. While there, he got his foundation in client protection, working as a Fraud Investigator and Money Laundering Prevention Officer for six years.
Background and experience
It was at this time, in 2013, that Will traded in Dublin, Ireland for Dublin, Ohio. Upon moving to the U.S., Will worked for Morgan Stanley in their Global Stock Plan Operations Department. In this role, he assisted stock plan participants with equity compensation plans, including stock options and restricted stock awards.
Will then turned his professional development toward a more client- and advisor-facing profession, pursuing a role in Mutual Fund Operations. It was here that he began to assist Financial Advisors with appropriate portfolio requests and the facilitation of establishing and maintaining 529 College Savings Plans. Will curtailed this experience into a position with Wells Fargo Advisors in September of 2018 as a Client Associate and assistant to the Branch Manager.
As an avid soccer fan, Will appreciates and sought to become a member of a team. He is now a proud member of The Slates Wealth Management Group of Northpointe Wealth Management. As a Senior Client Associate, Will’s responsibilities include but are not limited to providing administrative support, assisting customers with resolving inquiries, and generating customized reports.
Away from the office
Will and his wife, Sarah, live in central Ohio with their three children, Gianna, Liam, and Rowan. The family recently added a Standard Berne doodle to the family, and her name is Frankie. Will and Sarah love taking the family to Columbus Crew games or biking when possible.

Brenda is committed to ensuring our clients are provided highest level of service and personal attention they deserve.
Background and experience
With more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, she strives to communicate with their clients professionally and effectively to exceed their service expectations. Administratively, her primary focus is day to day maintenance of clients’ accounts.
Brenda studied Business Management at Franklin University. Her love of accounting led her to seek employment with a financial services firm in 1979, gaining experience in administration, operations, and management. To be more involved in building and maintaining client relationships, Brenda joined Mardas Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 1992.

Outside the office, she has two married children and three beautiful granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her Frenchton, and sports.

Amanda’s responsibilities include resolving client inquiries, account administration and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Background and experience
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, minoring in English and Public Relations, from West Virginia University.
She began her financial career with Wells Fargo Bank in 2014 as a personal banker. She focused on providing exceptional customer service while overseeing all aspects of her clients' accounts. Her responsibilities included managing accounts and providing clients with banking services like loans and credit cards.
After her experience as a personal banker, Amanda shifted her focus to a more analytical role and accepted an opportunity to transfer into the Corporate Trust Services division of Wells Fargo as a Securities Analyst. During her tenure, she actively participated in projects, including efficiency efforts, quality control, analysis, new business offerings, and testing.
In March 2017, Amanda relocated to Columbus and began her role as a Client Associate with Wells Fargo Advisors. Soon after, she proudly joined The Slates Group of Northpointe Wealth Management.
Away from the office
Amanda enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and staying active. She is an avid sports fan and looks forward to cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia Mountaineers. Amanda resides in Pittsburgh with her husband, Tom, their daughter Rylee, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucy.

Background and experience
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Central Michigan University, with a minor in Nutrition. Taking a different avenue, I began my financial career in 2015, with Citizens Bank. I started as a relationship banker, assisting clients with various banking needs. I transitioned to Wells Fargo in 2020, becoming a Premier Banker. Here I assisted affluent clients with more complex banking needs, including investments.
Continuing the path to investments, I moved to Ohio in 2021 and started working for Wells Fargo Advisors. During my time here, I met the Slates Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
Throughout my career in the financial industries, I received my FINRA securities licenses, Series 7 and Series 65. With these, I can expand my knowledge on various investment products.
As a Client Associate, my responsibilities include but are not limited to providing administrative support, assisting customers with resolving inquiries, and generating customized reports.
Away from the office
My fiancé Joe and I love watching sports and spending time with our family and friends. We are both from Michigan and travel there often. Our wedding is on November 5th, in Columbus. We also bought our first home in Powell and are looking forward to settling down in the area.
