Background and Experience

Steve began his career at the age of 22 with EF Hutton and Company after graduation from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He furthered his education through the stock Market Institute of Phoenix, Arizona. After 10 years at EF Hutton and acquiring firms, he transferred to a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors where he has remained since 1996. At Wells Fargo Advisors, Steve has access to a vast array of tools to help individuals, families, business owners and corporations plan for their financial success. Steve uses a hardworking, common-sense approach to successful investing. Steve is also licensed as a principal supervisor. In 2003 Steve began serving and currently acts as the Branch Manager of the Quincy, IL office.

Away From The Office

Steve and his wife Sara of 37 years have three adult children, Michelle, Morgan and Mark.  Some of his favorite hobbies include golf, snow skiing, and activities with his grandkids.  Steve prides himself on having a strong commitment to his faith, family and his practice.  Steve has served as a volunteer in many areas, including coaching youth football, softball, baseball, and basketball.  He has been the past President of Good Samaritan Home board and Quincy Notre Dame Foundation Board.  Steve and Sara are active members of the St. Peter Parish in Quincy.

For over four decades, Larry has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. Larry first entered the financial services industry in 1971 and joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 1975 thru the predecessor firm Blunt Ellis and Simmons. Larry’s focus is on providing comprehensive investment planning for clients through a process involving an analysis of finance goals, cash flow requirements, and legacy planning needs: and then construction of customized portfolios based on the analysis. Where appropriate, he often uses a wide array of investment solutions including managed accounts, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, individual stocks and bonds, and alternative investments.

Education

Larry received his degree in Business Administration/Economics from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO and his MBA in Finance from New York University in NYC.  He enjoys family, gardening, serving on non-profit organization boards and teaching classes at Culver-Stockton College. Larry’s wife Lynn is a retired teacher.  They have two children and two grandchildren.
