A Bit About Myself
I grew up in El Reno, OK and graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1999 with a degree in Finance. My career as a financial advisor started when I interned with Smith Barney in 1997. In the years that followed, I became part of a team that managed in excess of $400,000,000 for roughly 300 families. Today, after 20+ years in the financial services industry and as the senior member of my own team, I still thoroughly enjoy helping families navigate the complexities of their wealth.
Away from work, my wife Jenni and I have two children: Grayson and Peyton. We spend most of our free time chauffeuring them between their school functions and sports events.
My Favorite Part of This Job
Though it sounds cliché, the most enjoyable aspect of my job is connecting with people. At the beginning of a new client relationship, the majority of families come to us feeling two key emotions: Overwhelmed and under-informed.
After a short time working together, there comes a point where we finally break through and for the first time, they “get it”. For some, it’s an understanding that they have accumulated the resources they need to live their retirement ambitions; for others, it may include a quiet confidence knowing that their legacy will pass effectively to the next generation. Whatever their intent may be, when a client finally understands that they are on the right path, it’s a great feeling for both of us.
