He will take the time to understand each client's unique investment opportunities before developing a plan that is designed to satisfy their unique financial needs. And, through clear communication, he strives to keep his clients' portfolios on track toward their investment objectives.
Before joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Mr. Swaim was the owner of an automotive business in Winston-Salem--a career that allowed him to pay his own way through the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. In addition to holding his general securities registration and insurance licenses, Mr. Swaim is also licensed as an Investment Advisory Representative and he is entrusted to manage client portfolios as a PIM Portfolio Manager. He has been recognized as one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors* from 2018-2020.
An avid cyclist, Mr. Swaim has competed as a top-level amateur (on the road)--competing in Europe and winning a State Championship. He serves on the Board of Vic Chisholm Racing, Inc., which helps amateurs and junior cyclists achieve their goals in cycling. Mr. Swaim is also chairman of The National Cycling Center, and co-founded The Winston-Salem Cycling Classic & Gears and Guitars Festival held annually in downtown Winston-Salem. Sterling and his wife, Laura, have two daughters, Vivian and Eleanor.
