Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM Designation

The Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM, AAMS® designation is a professional designation awarded by the College for Financial Planning to financial professionals who successfully complete a self-study program, pass an exam, and agree to comply with a code of ethics.

The self-study program covers several topics, such as the asset managment process; investors, policy and change; risk, return and investment performance; asset allocation and selection; investment strategies; and taxation of investment products. It also covers investment opportunities for individual retirement; investment considerations for small business owners; executive compensation and benefit plans; insurance products for investment clients; estate planning; and regulatory and ethical issues.

Certified Financial PlannerTM Certification

The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™(CFP®) designation is a certification mark conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. To receive authorization to use the designation, the candidate must meet education, examination, experience and ethics requirements, and pay an ongoing certification fee. Educational requirements include: General principles of finance and financial planning;insurance planning; employee benefits planning; investment and securities planning; state and federal income tax planning; estate tax, transfer tax and gift tax planning; asset protection planning; retirement planning and estate planning.http://www.cfp.net  

Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ (CDFA™) Designation

The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts™ (IDFA™) is a premier national organization dedicated to the certification, education and promotion of the use of financial professionals in the divorce arena. The Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) is a professional designation for individuals who help clients determine the short term and long term financial impact of any proposed divorce settlement.  They also provide valuable information on financial issues that are related to the divorce, such as tax consequences, dividing pension plans, continued health care coverage, stock option elections. Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) Designation

The Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) is a professional designation for individuals who wish to specialize in life insurance and estate planning. Individuals must complete five core courses and three elective courses, and successfully pass all eight two-hour exams.
