Jennifer Burtsfield holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. She is a graduate of West Orange-Stark High School.
Jennifer began her career in the financial services industry with Edward Jones in 1999 and joined Wachovia Securities in 2001 which eventually merged with Wells Fargo Advisors. Along with her husband and business partner, she began her own business as Cowling & Burtsfield Wealth Management, LLC in 2012. After adding another advisor to the practice, they rebranded to River Trust Capital Management, LLC in 2019.
She is devoted to taking care of the individual needs and goals of her clients while concentrating on strategies to help manage the risk level in their portfolio and preserve capital. Using the tools available, she works on investment plans to accomplish client objectives. She holds the 7, 63, 65 securities registrations and insurance license.
Jennifer is a past president of the Riparian Business & Professional Women; a Life Ambassador, past Board Member and past Chairman of the Board of the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce; a past President and current member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Orange County; a past President and current Board Member of the Orange Rotary Club; Board Member of Lamar State College Orange Foundation, Board Member of Southeast Texas Nonprofit Development Center, a past Board Member of Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA of the Sabine Neches Region as well as a graduate of the 2008 class of Leadership Southeast Texas.
Jennifer is married to Bryan and together they have four children - Mason, Cassie, Brylee and Lawson. Away from the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and she loves eating Mexican food.
