Philosophy

Jon believes that a comprehensive planning approach should be the foundation for all relationships and is an important first step in helping clients achieve their goals and objectives.

Background and Experience

Jon grew up in his parents’ financial planning and investment advisory firm and decided to make it his profession in 2008 when he joined the family practice. Since then, he has not only focused on providing top-notch investment planning and advice but also on continuing his education and deepening his knowledge. He became a Certified Financial Planning (CFP^®) professional in 2012 and a Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM^®) in 2015.

Outside the Office

Prior to joining the family team, Jon had a career as a professional actor, specializing in Shakespeare, and a career as a computer consultant and I.T. Director. As a computer consultant in San Diego and New York City he worked with businesses ranging from small 5 person shops up to fortune 500 companies. He is still an avid “computer geek” and donates his services to numerous non-profits. He sits on the Boards of the CSUB School of Arts and Humanities Executive Advisory Council, the Rotary Club of Bakersfield, the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History & Science, and Stewards, which advocates for homelessness prevention through connection to social services, resources, and acting as an appointed representative payee service.

Jon and his wife, Jennifer, have a joyful and energetic 10 year old daughter, Lillian.

Jon is a graduate of California State University, Bakersfield and of the University of San Diego.
