Philosophy

Gary believes that professional financial management can make a big difference. He also believes that a “team approach” significantly improves providing holistic investment advisory and planning results focused on achieving clients’ financial and life goals. This team approach is focused on finding out what’s important to clients and then integrating their values and priorities into a comprehensive financial “road map”.

Background and Experience

Gary has been active in the financial services field since the early 1980s and specializes in comprehensive investment planning and advisory services. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2018, Gary owned and managed Financial Management Group, an affiliate of Kern Schools Federal Credit Union for 15 years, managed the local Merrill Lynch office for 8 years, and served as First Vice President, Wealth Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Manager for UBS Financial Services for 9 years.

Outside the Office

Gary is a native of Bakersfield, attending South High School and Cal State Bakersfield before completing his CFP® in 1989 with the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Prior to beginning his career in the financial services industry, Gary made his living as a professional pilot and still continues to fly every chance he gets.

Gary resides in Bakersfield where he is active in the community having served on numerous boards and committees, but his favorite pastime is, of course, spending time with his grandkids: Luke, 17; Ella, 14; and Lillian 10. Gary was married to the love of his life, Nancy, for over 51 years before losing her to cancer in late 2022.
