BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Steve began his career in 1990 working as an intern at Merrill Lynch while completing his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University. In addition to his Economics degree, Steve has the distinction of earning both a Master’s degree in Financial & Tax Planning as well as the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the recognized standard for education related to personal financial planning.
Steve is recognized as a Wells Fargo Advisors Premier Advisor (2007-2020), a distinction held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors by business production based on either of the past two years, and professionalism. Additional criteria, including length of services, may also be used to determine recipients.
Steve is also designated as a Private Investment Portfolio Manager (PIM). The PIM program is a customized portfolio management program geared toward your specific investment goals, and Steve has met stringent criteria based on experience and expertise to act as your personal portfolio manager*.
AWAY FROM THE OFFICE
Steve enjoys an active lifestyle that includes a passion for fitness and travel. You can find him doing anything from hiking a mountain peak to playing on the local basketball team and coaching the kids in their various sports on the weekends. With his enthusiasm for travel he has ventured sport fishing in Mexico, surfing in Fiji, zip-lining in Costa Rica, scuba diving in Turks & Caicos, and exploring the Great Wall of China. Steve also enjoys contributing his time to charitable work with a focus on juvenile diabetes.
Steve lives in Del Mar, California and enjoys spending time with his three children; Ninah, Leah, and Dylan.

Jasmyn Pina, Client Associate, has worked for Wells Fargo & Co. in multiple capacities over the last eight years, most recently from the Wells Fargo Restaurant Finance Group. She plays a key role on our team helping to coordinate the day to day requests of our clients related to money transfers, operational, and administrative requests. She also works as a liaison between clients and Steve to ensure client’s needs are addressed fully and promptly.
Jasmyn generates and manages all paperwork required to process distributions, account transfers, new accounts, and plays an integral role in making sure the team operates smoothly and efficiently.
In her free time, Jasmyn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, taking her dogs to the beach, and getting lost in a great book.
