Christopher J. Sawch

Managing Partner

Chris is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Shearwater Creek Wealth Advisors (SCWA.) Prior to forming SCWA, Chris spent over 30 years advising institutional and individual investors. He began his Wall Street career in 1986 at Goldman Sachs in their Institutional Fixed Income Division. In 1990, Chris transitioned to advising families and individual clients, joining Kidder Peabody’s Private Client Group where he was one of the firm’s top advisors.

Chris received a BA from Dartmouth College in Studio Art in 1980 and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1986. While his MBA provided a critical foundation in securities and financial markets, Chris credits his art degree in understanding and appreciating the nuanced dynamics of human emotions affecting individual and family values and decisions.

Chris has been very involved in his community, coaching youth sports, serving on several local boards and mentoring disadvantaged youth. Chris and his wife Deb are also active supporters of Teach for America, Connect-US, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and Trout Unlimited.
