I always knew I wanted to build; and like most small children, I built my very own treehouse. As I grew older my priorities shifted, the concept of building was something that always remained. As a high-school student I started a swimming pool service so I could pay for my first car. I was able to build this small-summer-job into a tax paying, full service swimming pool service and construction company with revenues in excess of $300,000 a year. I was committed to that business while simultaneously attending New York University’s Stern school of business majoring in Finance and International Business.
While swimming pools have little to do with what I do now, it did teach me the value of commitment, dependability, and superior client service as a base of every business structure. In addition, it provided extra funds to start investing on my own. In 1997, after many years of successfully growing my business, I was ready for my next challenge. I sold my swimming pool business and decided to follow my new found passion for investing. I decided to take a leap of faith and my enjoyment of working with people to find solutions in positive outcomes. I entered a training program with Prudential Securities, a predecessor to Wells Fargo Advisors, where I earned the acclaimed “Top Gun” award, given to the one person in the training class who was most likely to succeed in the business.
Today I am one of the founding team members of the Signature Capital Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. Together we manage over $950 million. With our cumulative 100+ years of industry experience, we have assisted our clients through Y2K, the “Tech Wreck” in 2000, September 11th, the financial crisis in 2008, the government shutdowns in 2013 and 2018, and currently Covid-19. We take pride in guiding our clients through these storms and ensuring they are focused on successfully achieving their specified goals. We also understand, that unlike buildings or swimming pools, these goals will change through time and we are there to update these plans and adjust recommendations accordingly.
Thanks to my incredible team and amazing clients; from 2019 to 2022, I was honored to be named one of Barron’s Top 1200 State by State Financial Advisors, and from 2020 to 2022, I was listed as one of Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” for Pennsylvania.
I have the pleasure to sit on the board of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and have previously been a board member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; and was also their former chair of the Young Professional’s Network.
In my free time, I still pursue my love of building; I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and tackling any home improvement project I can get my hands on. Not only did my swimming pool company instill in me the business acumen to succeed as a financial advisor, it also left me with a vast knowledge base in electric, plumbing, tile, concrete, and other trades. I also enjoy cooking, running marathons, participating in triathlons, biking, skiing, and weight training. But most of all, I enjoy spending time with my two teenage children, watching them participate in their respective activities, and sharing with them as many life skills as they are willing to listen to.
The Barron’s Top 1200 State by State rankings are based on assets under management, revenue generated for the advisors’ firm, and the quality of practice. Investment performance isn’t an explicit factor because clients have varied goals and risk tolerances.
The Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors rating algorithm is based on the previous year’s industry experience, interviews, compliance records, assets under management, revenue and other criteria by SHOOK Research, LLC, which does not receive compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking. Investment performance is not a criterion. Self-completed survey was used for rating. This rating is not related to the quality of the investment advice and based solely on the disclosed criteria.
