I have always been enamored with the concept of building. As a child, it was construction and architecture; at one point I wanted to be an architect. As I got older and my priorities shifted, I maintained this commitment to building from the bottom up – in high school, in order to pay for my first car, I started a swimming pool service and renovation company. This small summer job evolved into a full-fledge business with annual revenues in excess of $300k/yr. The short-term solution to simply pay for my first car, was a perfect job until I graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1993.
Though the swimming pool business had nothing to do with what I do now, it taught me about the value of dependability and commitment as it pertains to providing a service. I knew I had to find a way to bring together my passion for building with my newfound commitment to purposeful and impactful client outcomes. In 1997, after growing my business even further, I sold it and entered Prudential Securities training program, a predecessor to Wells Fargo Advisors. This enabled me to dive deeper and tune into my passion, which parlayed me into earning the infamous “Top Gun” award, given to 1 out of 128 trainees of that class. An award that goes to the one person in the class who was most likely to succeed in the business.
Today, I am one of the original team members of the Signature Capital Wealth Management team at Wells Fargo Advisors, established in 2004. Our team includes four advisors with two dedicated client associates, and together we currently manage in excess of $950 million. We have assisted our clients through Y2K, the “Tech Wreck” in 2000, the Financial Crisis in 2008, the Government Shut Down 2013 and 2018, , and most recently, Covid-19.
I am honored to sit on the board of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center. I am also a past board member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and former Chair of the Young Professionals Network of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. I am humbled to say in 2019 and 2020, Barron’s named me as one of the Top 1200 Financial Advisors in America and in February 2020, was named one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in Pennsylvania.
In my free time, I try and get back to my love of building. I enjoy rolling up my sleeves and tackling any home improvement project I can get my hands on. Not only did my swimming pool company provide the business savviness to succeed today, it left me with a vast knowledge base in electric, plumbing, tile, concrete etc. I also enjoy cooking, running, biking, and weight training. I have run a couple marathons, countless half-marathons and even a few triathlons. I am a proud father of two, with a daughter in high school and a son in middle school. My daughter recently found a love for track and field where she set her school’s record in pole vaulting, and my son is currently a starting pitcher for his school and travel baseball teams. He is also following his passion for the guitar and music production.
