In 2000, Marti transitioned from the non-profit world to become a Financial Advisor with Legg Mason, a highly respected regional firm. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation in 2004, demonstrating commitment to developing comprehensive investment strategies to address each client’s complete financial picture.  After mergers and acquisitions took Marti and her clients to Smith Barney, then Morgan Stanley, she felt responsible for evaluating other firms to proactively choose the best resources and support for clients. Due to the outstanding depth of resources and intellectual capital, ethical culture and client-centered values, Marti and her clients joined Wells Fargo Advisors in January, 2015.

After spending most of her childhood in Raleigh, Marti completed middle and high school in Winter Park, Florida. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration from Kenan-Flagler Business School. 

Away from the office, Marti enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter, Ann.  Marti’s personal interests include outdoor activities, travel, reading and gourmet cooking.
