Amanda Bedgood Collins, CFP
Senior Financial Advisor
Managing Director - Investments
Focus
My mission is to connect meaning to money and provide every client with targeted, comprehensive financial advice and investment management - delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity. I am dedicated to helping individuals and businesses develop financial and investment strategies that line up with their needs, goals and risk tolerance.
Background & Experience
I work with families whose plans include retirement accounts, taxable accounts, trusts, estates, foundations, endowments, family limited partnerships, business entities, etc. My team and I assist with management of assets ranging from traditional security investments, including equity, fixed income, cash alternatives and/or alternatives investments to providing access to specialized trust services. We can provide clients with access to a team of specialists and work with their tax and legal advisors to assess all aspects of their investment plan. In conjunction with our clients' tax and legal advisors, we assist with education planning, insurance planning, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate planning strategies.*
Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, I was a practicing attorney for 8 years specializing in real estate, probate, contracts, estate planning, and fiduciary litigation. While I no longer practice law, I obtained my Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas and I have also earned the CFP®, practitioner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. For this designation, I had to complete approved educational programs, pass rigorous examinations and meet stringent experience requirements. I have been recognized as one of the Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State ** for 2024 and 2025.
Away from the Office
In addition to helping my clients, I am committed to helping my community. I am passionate about advocating for the needs of children. I currently serve on the Golden Crescent CASA board of directors. Most recently, I have gotten involved coaching my twin’s soccer team. I am a member of the following professional organizations: Junior League of Victoria (Past Treasurer), Victoria County Bar Association (Past President), Texas Exes Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
I am lucky to live and raise my teen boy and twin toddlers in the same community where I was born and raised, among my family and friends. My husband, Shane, is a veteran and now a consultant in school safety and emergency response management. Family is often the most important part of my clients’ lives and similarly, family is my reason for everything.
