Background and experience
In August of 2011, inspired by his family’s practice, Gene joined his family at Wells Fargo Advisors, and, has the privilege to serve as a financial advisor to families, individuals and institutions. Gene works with clients of various backgrounds, each with unique goals and circumstances. Through our Envision process, Gene engages with each client to develop an investment plan that offers clarity and flexibility.
Gene is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, as well as, a certified Private Investment Management (PIM) Portfolio Manager, this select group of advisors are qualified to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis, and, for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, recognized as a Premier Advisor, a distinction held by a select group of Financial Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on either of the past two years, and professionalism. Additional criteria, including length of service, may also be used to determine recipients. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Gene earned a BS in finance from Sienna College.
Away from the office
Gene is a lifelong resident of New Hartford, NY, and, continues to reside in New Hartford with his wife, Jennifer, two year old son, Eugene Leo D’Amico III, two dogs and a chinchilla. Spending time with family is Gene’s top priority. When not with family, Gene enjoys playing golf, is an active member the Yahnundasis Golf Club, and, when not golfing, can be found perfecting the game of pool. Gene is an avid baseball fan, and, collector of baseball memorabilia. He is also a past body builder and weight lifter, with a collection of trophies from various competitions, and, also a past board member The Stanley Theatre, our local center for the arts.
To earn the AAMS® designation, Gene successfully completed 120 hours of training focused on subjects such as asset allocation, retirement planning and risk management. Accredited Asset Management Specialists have in-depth knowledge of the investment-planning process and understand that as clients gain wealth, their financial needs are likely to become more complex. In addition to this understanding, Gene also agreed to abide by a comprehensive code of ethics upon receiving his accreditation.
