Our Thought Process

We are firm believers that no one has a monopoly on ideas. We actively pursue investment opportunities that span a wide range of client needs. More importantly, we take time to filter out all of the noise the investment world has to offer and protect clients from the “consensus.” Our focus is grounded on 5 core beliefs.

  1. Efficiency: All investment plans must have an investment strategy that seeks efficiencies from a cost, tax, and most importantly risk perspective.
  2. Liquidity Horizon: An investment plan is not dictated by time horizon. It should be constructed and managed according to a client’s liquidity horizon. What do you need the money for, how much, and when? These answers dictate the liquidity and risk allocations within a portfolio.
  3. How to Invest: Often the sole focus is on what to invest in verses how to invest. Owning assets outright or utilizing an investment vehicle to structure a specific strategy should always be taken into consideration.
  4. Active & Passive: Both styles should be utilized in creating an efficient portfolio. As public companies become smaller, international, and emerging, hiring a top tier active manager has proven to add significant value to a portfolio.
  5. Private Markets: Public companies account for less than 1% of all U.S. companies1. We believe investing in 99% of the market via private investments is an effective way to diversify an investment plan.
