David provides custom investment strategies built on each client’s unique circumstances, risk tolerance, and goals.
Background and experience
For over two decades David has helped clients gain clarity around their personal finances, especially throughout major shifts in the market. He specializes in assisting clients through critical life transitions such as retirement, divorce and widowhood.
David has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, practitioner designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board). This designation requires completing approved educational programs, passing rigorous examinations and meeting stringent experience requirements.
Away from the office
When not at work, David enjoys spending time with his family, running, swimming, hiking, biking, and playing the drums in the BIG OWIE Band. He is married to Katy, a Professor of Music at Grand Valley State University and they have two children.
David currently serves on the board of the East Grand Rapids Friends of the Library and the Albert Baker Fund in San Francisco, CA.
