With over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Roger Aiken offers his clients personalized and comprehensive investment planning, helping them strive to find success by focusing on integrity, honesty, and dedication.   

Roger earned a BS/BA degree at Appalachian State University, with majors in both Marketing and Management.

Beginning his career with J.C. Bradford, Roger started his tenure at Wells Fargo Advisors with the merger of A.G. Edwards & Sons/Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors. Having been through numerous changes and major market shifts in the financial industry, Roger’s extensive experience has allowed him to help clients plan and work toward successfully meeting financial goals for a possibly more secure future.

Roger has earned the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council distinction and was awarded the Platinum Council Manager designation in 2024. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. Roger is experienced at utilizing retirement and trust funds to help solidify his clients’ financial goals.

Roger has testified before Congress on the issue of retirement income and employment, has written a bi-weekly Op-Ed column for The Asheville Citizen-Times, and for ten years provided the morning business report for WLOS-TV in Asheville. He served as a member of and vice-chairman for the UNC Board of Governors, and currently serves as Chairman of the UNC-Asheville Board of Trustees. Roger previously served on the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, and on the Buncombe County Board of Education, including two terms as chairman.

A native of Asheville, Roger and his wife Renee have raised two sons in the community. Their son Tyler Aiken is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Masters from Johns Hopkins. Tyler served as Legislative Correspondent for a U.S. Senator, and is currently employed with Wells Fargo Advisors in Hickory, NC as a Senior Vice President – Investment Officer. Their son Blake, also a UNC undergraduate, received his Masters from Wake Forest. Blake is currently employed as a Senior Associate with Fundrise in Washington, DC. They are the proud grandparents to three granddaughters, Finley, Rosemary, and Lainey.

Roger and Renee attend Alexander Baptist Church, where Renee plays piano and Roger teaches Sunday school classes. The Aiken family devotes time to performing community and civic service in Asheville.

David began his career with A.G. Edwards and Sons, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors where he developed the foundation of his Investment Management practice.  His passion for providing the highest quality advice to clients fueled his quest for knowledge.  In 2005, David earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ designation and in 2008 he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation.  He was required to complete an approved educational program, passing a rigorous examination and meeting stringent experience and continuing education requirements.  He has earned the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council from 2008-2022.  David has been honored as a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2019, 2021 & 2022.

David graduated from St. Cloud State University with degrees in Business and Communications.  He went on to management positions with professional baseball teams including the Asheville Tourists.

Away from the office, David spends time with his wife, Traci, a retired teacher, and two children, John (22) and Elizabeth (16).  They provide leadership in many capacities at Emmanuel Lutheran Church as well as in the community helping UNCA, ABCCM, YMCA, and various other local organization.  David enjoys spending time with John at NC State University cheering on the Wolfpack.  He is also busy assisting Elizabeth with her volleyball & tennis and educational pursuits.

John began his career as a Financial Advisor at Interstate/Johnson Lane in 1992.  For over 30 years John has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs.  With extensive experience throughout major shifts in markets, John has dedicated his career to the personalized investment planning and portfolio management services his clients deserve.

John uses Wells Fargo Advisors’ E-Money® process to help his clients develop financial and investment strategies that line up with their needs, goals, and risk tolerances.  His Mission is to provide every client with targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management strategies - developed with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.

John’s investment philosophy is based on the proactive process seeking to capture opportunity, while managing risk.  His comprehensive process blends both a Strategic and Tactical approach based on relative strength in markets.  First, he helps clients agree on long term strategic ranges of various asset class holdings based upon their financial goals and their comfort with risk.  Then using technical analysis, John tactically emphasizes what he believes are the strongest asset classes and sectors, while seeking to underweight or eliminate the weakest areas, based on market conditions.  The objective is an investment plan that allows his clients to stay the course during difficult markets and focus on achieving long term goals.

Away from the office, John spends his free time with his wife, Molly, who is also a financial professional.  After spending their married lives raising 2 daughters, they are enjoying their new-found time as empty nesters, traveling and becoming more involved in their Church and community activities.  Both Molly and John are University of Georgia grads, and John still enjoys attending Georgia Football games.

Based on accepted statistical methods, eMoney uses a mathematical process used to implement complex statistical methods that chart the probability of certain financial outcomes at certain times in the future.  This charting is accomplished by generating hundreds of possible economic scenarios that could affect the performance of your investments. Using Monte Carlo simulation this report uses up to 1000 scenarios to determine the probability of outcomes resulting from the asset allocation choices and underlying assumptions regarding rates of return and volatility of certain asset classes.  Some of these scenarios will assume very favorable financial market returns, consistent with some of the best periods in investing history for investors.  Some scenarios will conform to the worst periods in investing history.  Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.

Larry provides comprehensive investment planning and wealth management services for individuals, families, and businesses. He follows a strict process for establishing, reviewing, and pursuing the goals of his clients.  His mission is to help clients plan for and achieve their long-term financial goals.

For the last 21 years, Larry has provided retirement income planning and wealth management services to his clients.  Larry is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® professional. 

Larry began his career as a Financial Advisor with A.G. Edwards, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors in Waynesville, NC in 2002.  In 2011, Larry was promoted to Branch Manager of the Waynesville office while continuing to serve his clients.

Prior to his career, as a Financial Advisor, Larry graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelors’ degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering.  He worked for several firms providing business and technology consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. His experience has proved his clients with a consultative approach to understanding their financial challenges.

Larry is very involved in the local community.  He is currently serving on the Waynesville Rotary Foundation Board, a volunteer Ski Patroller, an Extension Master Gardener Volunteer and loves coaching youth soccer.  His wife and three children are his greatest joy and priority. Larry enjoys many outdoor activities including pickleball, golf, biking, hiking and backpacking with his family.  They travel extensively to visit and explore National Parks all around the world.

Hickory, NC

Tyler began his career as a Financial Advisor in early 2015 in Charlotte, NC with Wells Fargo Advisors-Solutions.  Here, Tyler worked as a registered representative across the country, building relationships with clients and creating comprehensive investment plans to help them achieve their financial goals. With a desire to work more closely with clients in a community, Tyler moved to Wells Fargo Advisors in Hickory, NC in 2016. Tyler has been fortunate to work closely with Financial Advisors who have over 40 years of financial experience in the Hickory area, and across Western North Carolina. Tyler has seen firsthand the impact that personalized investment planning and portfolio management service can have on a client’s life.   His mission is to understand each client’s unique situation and develop fluid strategies and financial guidance to help them navigate the different stages of life.

Tyler holds his Series 7 and 66 registrations, and is licensed as a North Carolina Life and Health Agent. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®). Tyler earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and his Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. He has received the firm’s designation of Wells Fargo Advisor Platinum Council in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Away from the office, Tyler and his wife Adelaide, a social worker, enjoy spending time with their daughters Finley, Rosemary, and Lainey. They are both active in several different capacities at their church, love traveling, and cheering on the Tar Heels.

Asheville, NC

Shaina began her career with Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010.  She began working as a Client Associate in the Hendersonville office as an assistant to 3 Financial Advisors.  In her role as a Client Associate, Shaina quickly began learning the business as well as her passion to assist clients and their investment needs. 

At the beginning of 2012, Shaina took advantage of an opportunity to further her knowledge and experience in the industry and transferred to the Asheville office as the Operations Liaison for the Asheville Complex.  As an Operations Liaison, she was responsible for many operational functions and worked closely with the Operations Manager.

During this time, Shaina pursued her securities registrations and successfully completed the Series 7 and Series 66.  Shaina also earned a BS degree in Business with University of Phoenix. 

By the end of 2013, another opportunity was presented to Shaina to return to her previous role as a Registered Client Associate.  Her passion and desire to work more closely with clients drove her back to this role.  Shaina is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to clients and ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner. 

Prior to working with Wells Fargo Advisors, Shaina was an active member of the United States Air Force where she was a Communication/Navigation System Specialist and maintained the radio and navigation equipment of the B-52 bomber.    She spent 4 years in the Air Force stationed at Minot, North Dakota. 

Away from the office, Shaina and her husband Andrew are devoted parents to their three children, Savannah, Easton and Carly.  Shaina and her family live on a small farm in Marion, NC and attend Grace Community Church.

Shannon is the backbone of our outstanding client service with her consistent display of professionalism, integrity and core leadership qualities. She is a Senior Registered Client Associate. Most client requests are channeled through Shannon and she efficiently handles the request or delegates it to the appropriate team member.

Shannon joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2004.  She is a Registered Veterinary Technician and worked as the Head Veterinary Technician for a local veterinary hospital. Her veterinary background has brought the efficiency of a medical practice to our team.  

Shannon and her husband Jesse live in Waynesville with their beautiful daughter Martha, three dogs and two cats.

Hickory, NC

Jackie began her career with Wells Fargo Advisors in 2020. She joined the firm as a Client Associate in the Morganton office, where she supported three Financial Advisors.

As a native of Vale, NC, Jackie took the opportunity to work in her home community when a Mentor, former Client Associate Tressa Cline, announced her retirement from the Hickory, NC office in June 2024. In her role as a Client Associate, Jackie strives to ensure clients’ administrative and operational needs are met with accuracy and efficiency. 

Prior to working with Wells Fargo Advisors, Jackie earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Appalachian State University.

Away from the office, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and cheering on the ASU Mountaineers and Carolina Panthers. Jackie loves living in NC and enjoys all that the state has to offer.
