He also serves as the Managing Director of Penrose Energy Partners, working with large private international oil and gas companies. From 2011 to 2016, Juan Carlos held various Petroleum Engineering roles at Devon Energy. He also founded and managed an oil and gas service company, enhancing his entrepreneurial skills through the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. In addition to his professional achievements, Juan Carlos is dedicated to volunteer work. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and was honored as the LLS Man of the Year in 2021. Juan Carlos graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2015. He resides in San Antonio with his wife and two daughters.
