Joe applies a comprehensive approach to managing his clients' assets, supported by a sales and administrative team dedicated to excellent customer service. He takes the necessary time to work closely with his clients and their other financial professionals including: CPAs, estate attorneys, and private bankers.

Background and experience

Joe Barreca is a Senior Financial Advisor located at Heritage Plaza in the Metairie Wells Fargo Advisors office. Joe joined Wells Fargo with years of advanced training and experience with top investment institutions that have provided a strong foundation for his career as a financial advisor. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Joe served as managing director of the New Orleans Market for First Horizon Advisors. He proudly served and catered to his clients for 21 years as a Senior Vice President of Investments.

After graduating from LSU in 1999, Joe entered the financial services industry and developed his deep passion for providing exceptional management and care for the finances of his clients.  
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University where he was also a proud member of the LSU Tiger Football Team from 1995-1998. He earned academic all-SEC honors while helping the Tigers win a Peach and Independence Bowl.

Away from the office

Joe is married to Lanie and has three wonderful children: Bennett, Perrin, and Campbell. He enjoys coaching his children's sporting teams, attending LSU football games and events, and spending quality time with family and friends. He is a parishioner of both St. Francis Xavier and St. Anselm Catholic Church, and participates in numerous boards and civic organizations, including the Board of Directors for Holy Cross High School and Tchefuncta Club Estates, Miracle League, Junior Achievement, LSU TAF and the L Club.

Josh has been in the financial services industry for over 16 years with the last 9 spent as a Financial Advisor. As a part of the Barreca Investment Group, Josh has a tremendous passion and curiosity for better understanding his client’s needs and finding solutions that guide them to their desired outcomes.

Though the world of investments may seem daunting or overwhelming, Josh has an innate ability to distill the information into actionable advice for his clients and create a positive impact on his client's financial well-being.

Josh is originally from Chicago but has lived in New Orleans for over a decade with his wife Alex and son Logan. When not at work, Josh enjoys coaching his son’s sporting teams and participating in various running events.

Janet focuses on supporting the team by enhancing the client experience through preparing and maintaining financial reports and scheduling strategic client reviews. Janet is bilingual (English and Spanish) and strives to assist our clients through excellent customer service and follow up.

Janet has been a vital part of our team since 2015 and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations as well as licenses for life, accident, and health insurance. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly University.

Janet and her husband Sean live in Metairie, LA with their precious twin daughters. When she is not at the office, Janet and Sean enjoy spending time with the “Twinkies” and attending all of the great festivals in the New Orleans Area.

Lori’s career in the financial industry began in 1995 with Hibernia National Bank in St. Bernard. Lori then transitioned to a new role at Hibernia Investments as a client associate, a position she maintained for over 11 years. In 2007, her and Joe teamed up in her current role as Senior Client Associate with Barreca Investment Group.

Lori eagerly assists clients with products and services related to each client’s financial needs. She focuses on supporting the team by enhancing the client experience through excellent customer service, preparing and maintaining financial reports, and handling the new client onboarding process. Lori holds FINRA Series 6 and Series 65 securities registrations and LA Life and Health Insurance license.

Lori resides in Metairie, LA, with her husband, Scott. She is an active parishioner at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she teaches CCD to the youth of the community. When she is not in the office, Lori centers her free time around her family. She can often be found vacationing in Disney World or participating in competitive handgun shooting tournaments.

Tracey’s has been in financial services for over 25 years. She started at First Union in 2000, and then worked at Regions Bank for 12 years. Tracey was then an assistant branch manager at First Horizon for 10 years before joining the Barreca Investment Group as a Sr. Client Associate.

Her previous experience has provided Tracey a great foundation when assisting our clients. She supports the team’s daily operations, money movement, and handling of the new client onboarding process. She delivers personal customer service by providing clients with the account information and answers they need when they need them.

Tracey has been married for 24 years and has a son in college.  In addition, she has 2 dogs at home (a Yorkie and a Pomeranian).  She loves spending time with family and friends, participating in sports including bowling and fishing on the weekends.
