Blaine Spurney

Blaine Spurney is a Senior Financial Advisor with more than 34 years of experience helping individuals and families pursue their long-term financial goals. Before entering the financial services industry, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant (no longer practicing), providing him with a strong foundation in tax planning and financial analysis. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Blaine joined A.G. Edwards in 1992 as a financial advisor and has remained committed to guiding clients through important financial decisions with personalized advice and a long-term perspective.

Blaine specializes in working with individuals who are within five to ten years of retirement or already retired. He helps clients develop comprehensive financial strategies designed to help generate reliable cash flow, mitigate income taxation, preserve accumulated wealth, and create effective plans for transferring assets to future generations or charitable organizations. His conservative, value-oriented investment philosophy emphasizes building lasting relationships based on trust, clear communication, and confidence.

Outside of the office, Blaine enjoys exercising, healthy cooking, maintaining an active lifestyle, and playing golf. He is actively involved in his community and currently serves as President of the Salina YMCA Foundation. Family is a central part of his life, and he has been married to his wife, Cara Walker-Spurney, for 26 years. Together, they enjoy spending time with their family, which includes one son and a grandson along with an elderly dog Milo.
