After more than 25 successful years with legacy firms A.G. Edwards & Sons, Wachovia Securities, and then Wells Fargo Advisors, Peter joined the team at Bridgehaven Financial Advisors as Executive Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor. The transition to Bridgehaven Financial Advisors was an easy one for Peter and his existing clients, since the firm continues to be associated with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.
Early in his career as a financial advisor, Peter successfully satisfied all requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. As a CFP® professional, Peter abides by the Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility in all aspects of client finances. This privilege has been maintained with ongoing continuous education throughout Peter's career. The CFP Board adopted the Code of Ethics to establish the following Seven Principles and Standards, which provide a source of guidance for Peter and other certificants:
Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Business Management from the City University of New York. Between degrees, he achieved the Professional Engineer designation from the State of New Jersey. Peter melds a unique blend of his science, financial, and professional background in all dealings with clients.
After raising three children to adulthood, Peter and his wife, Emma, have been rewarded with five grandchildren. Outside of the office, you will find Peter engaged with his extended family or focusing on his golf game.
Cathy joined Bridgehaven Financial Advisors in November of 2014 as Branch Administrator. Having worked with Peter Bruno at Bank Brussels Lambert in the 1990s, Cathy remained a long-time friend and client of Peter’s until the opportunity arose for her to join the Bridgehaven family as the firm expanded. Amongst her duties of managing the branch calendar and ensuring the office runs smoothly, Cathy may be the first person you hear or see when reaching out to the office. For those that come and visit us, Cathy will be happy to prepare a light breakfast or lunch as we conduct client meetings.
After leaving the financial industry in the early 2000s to raise her children, Cathy worked as a Religion Education Teacher and Office Assistant at Saint Andrews Church in Avenel, NJ. Prior to that, Cathy was employed by ING Barings Corporation and Bank Brussels Lambert on Wall Street. As Vice President of Treasury, Cathy was responsible for capital generation utilized to fund company operations including loans, foreign exchange, and corporate bond purchases. She also initiated interbank currency borrowing and lending through federal funds and traded short-term bond futures.
Cathy spends her free time with her two children, Alice and Michael, and volunteers regularly at the Robert Mascenik Elementary School in Iselin, NJ.
