My Background
I began investing in the stock market at the age of 13 as a result of a family tragedy. Investing has been my passion since I was in 7th grade. In high school I would frequently trade stocks during recess and lunch and would check the stock quotes in the library. This was in the late 1990s during the technology boom and the market was exciting. Then came the tech bust and I learned a hard lesson about risk management and preserving capital.
My career as a Financial Advisor began with American Express Financial Advisors where I built a client base and became one of their advisor coaches. In 2005, I transferred to Merrill Lynch, right before Hurricane Katrina hit. The 6 months following Katrina were difficult, but we persevered. In 2015, I decided to join Wells Fargo Advisors to better serve my clients.
My practice is based on comprehensive wealth management, investment planning, and asset allocation. I have clients from a variety of different backgrounds and careers, with different goals and dreams, and I work to help protect what they cannot afford to lose. Many times this is the income generated by a primary earner in a family with children. In 2019, I received the Forbes Top Next Gen Wealth Advisor* award and in 2021 & 2022, the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors* award. I am humbled to receive these accolades, which I believe, represents an impressive list of professionals that come to work with one goal on their mind, helping their clients succeed.
Born and raised in New Orleans, I am a graduate of Jesuit High School. I earned my B.S. in Finance from University of New Orleans. My wife Tara and I currently reside in Mandeville with our four children, Charles III, Caroline, Christian and Chandler.
