Chris Gerrish

Chris Gerrish serves as the Market Leader for Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) for the Mid America Market. In this capacity he ensures the right resources and support are delivered for the benefit of our clients and team members. He supports more than 400 Financial Advisors in the firm’s traditional, independent, and bank-based brokerage channels who together oversee over $75 billion in assets under management (as of April 30, 2026).

Chris is responsible for the Markets’ strategic business objectives, including helping to grow revenue and maximize productivity. He manages the retention and recruitment of Financial Advisors, helping Advisors interested in the firm’s three business channels to explore the most appropriate business model for their practice and clients. He supports Financial Advisors at every stage of their career, from practice building to team formation and succession planning.

With more than 34 years in the wealth management business, Chris brings a wide breadth and depth of experience having served in a variety of capacities including Complex Director in Texas and Oklahoma, Branch Manager, and Financial Advisor. Chris was with UBS for 24 years prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors. He began his career with PaineWebber after graduating from Penn State University where he earned his B.S. in Finance.

Chris and his wife live in Frisco, Texas. His son, Will, also graduated from Penn State and is a coach in Frisco, TX. His daughter, Claire, is currently attending Penn State. Chris enjoys spending time with his family and friends, is an avid golfer, and is a big fan of his hometown sports teams. Chris was also a former board member for The American Heart Association for Collin County and JDRF for Dallas.
