Clay Riddell, CFP
Senior Financial Advisor
Vice President - Investments
As a Senior Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional, I help individuals, families, trusts and business owners manage their assets and make financial decisions. Using a long-term and tax-centered investment approach, clients potentially benefit from wealth strategies to realize their goals.
I believe in the Law of Fractional Advantage, which holds that: small improvements consistently over time may lead to better results. My 20+ years of experience suggests that nearly every client has gaps in their planning. By finding the gaps and then stacking together as many good decisions as possible so clients can see those gaps close. Of course, meeting financial goals is only part of the process. With a comprehensive customized plan, clients can envision and plan for their personal, non-financial aspirations as well. This helps them envision and plan for a rewarding future.
Since I began working with clients in 2003, I have viewed my role more expansively as a “wealth manager” rather than the narrower “investment advisor” term. While investment strategies are very important, but success also requires coordinating advice on other diverse subjects ranging from asset protection strategies to estate planning strategies and tax optimization strategies.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in business / finance from the University of Northern Colorado in 2001.
In 2014 I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ certificant . For this designation, I had to complete educational programs through the College for Financial Planning, pass examinations and meet experience requirements.
Born and raised in Colorado, I enjoy all that our state has to offer, from the local sports teams to the great outdoors. In my free time I can be found coaching youth sports, as well as golfing, skiing and fishing. I also volunteer to help kids learn about money, investing and how they can succeed through hard work.
