Doug began his investment career with Paine Webber, where he served for 10 years before joining Prudential Securities, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors. Doug earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1991 and has been named as one of Wells Fargo Advisors’ Platinum Council Advisors** from 2006-2024. A graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business, Doug also earned a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. Doug is active in his community and serves as the Vice President of CASA Lake County and is a founding member of Cradles to Crayons - Chicago. Doug is a member of the League of American Theatres and Producers and has produced 13 Broadway shows, winning two Tony Awards as a producer for The Producers and Hairspray.
Doug and his wife, Stacey, have lived in Deerfield since 1994. Their son, David, is a writer and lives in Los Angeles. Doug is a lifelong Chicago sports fan. As a die-hard Cubs fan, he was honored to be a ring bearer during their championship season. He enjoys participating in sporting activities such as floor hockey and has an extensive sports memorabilia collection.

Neil Cooper has achieved a distinguished career in financial services by providing exceptional personal service and putting his clients’ interests first. Providing advice since 1984, Neil specializes in investment and retirement planning for successful individuals and their families. In a constantly changing industry, he enjoys getting to help his clients manage the multiple facets of their lives and help realize their goals. Before joining a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors in 1992, Neil served as a Vice President and Financial Advisor for Paine Webber. He holds his series 7, 63, 65, and 31 securities registrations, as well as his life, health, and long-term care insurance and annuities licenses. Neil earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and an MBA in marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He serves on the Investment Committee Board for Little City, a nonprofit that supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He also supports Brothers for Life, a nonprofit organization that helps rehabilitate wounded combat veterans who suffer from physical injuries and PTSD.
A Chicago native and devoted family man, Neil and his wife, Sheri, enjoy spending time with their three daughters, their husbands, and their many grandchildren. An avid reader, Neil has collected more than 2,000 books on baseball, history, and the space program. Additionally, Neil enjoys traveling, playing golf, and playing competitive baseball as a member of the Men’s Senior Baseball League. He also enjoys river rafting and ice climbing and has been lucky to play baseball in professional ballparks across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Jacob Drescher joined the Cooper Meyer Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2014. As a Managing Director – Investment Officer, he focuses on comprehensive planning for clients in all career and life stages. Additionally, he works closely with clients on portfolio management and construction, with a special interest in investment planning and management for nonprofit organizations. He finds it rewarding to bring clients relief and joy while achieving lifelong aspirations and help them feel better about their financial health and outlook. In the years 2018-2024, he has been recognized as one of Wells Fargo Advisors’ Platinum Council Advisors*.
Prior to joining Cooper Meyer Wealth Management, Jake worked for 13 years in the nonprofit sector. His roles included Director of Development of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and Executive Director of Children’s Oncology Services. He also worked as a consultant with Grenzebach, Glier & Associates, focusing on large-scale capital campaign strategy and structure. He received his undergraduate degree in business management at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, and his MBA from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. Jake is an active volunteer with some of his favorite charities, including Cradles to Crayons and Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Jake lives in Glencoe with his two sons, Zachary and Hudson, and always looks forward to their annual road trip where they explore sports venues and cultural locations throughout the United States. An avid cyclist, Jake completed two Half-Ironman Triathlons, the Steelhead Half Ironman, and the Michigan Titanium Half Ironman. When he’s not training, you can usually find him at Wrigley Field cheering on the Cubs.
