Kevin Coughlin has been a professional financial advisor in the Johnson City area for the past 20+ years and focuses his time on a select group of clients.
An industry veteran, Kevin is conservative, goal oriented and fully invested in his clients. He believes real strategies require planning, discipline and common sense. For him, exceptional working relationships are based on mutual respect and dialogue; a collaborative exchange and thorough examination of needs, desires and goals.
Background & experience
Kevin began his career with Dean Witter in 1997. In 2007, Kevin moved to Wells Fargo Advisors from Smith Barney when they closed
the Binghamton office. He gained valuable experience working his way up the ranks, serving in nearly every capacity at the branch level.
Kevin maintains the FINRA General Securities Representative Series 7 and General Securities Sales Supervisor Series 9 and 10, Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam Series 65 and Uniform Securities Agent – State Law 63 registrations and holds insurance licenses in numerous states for life, variable contracts and long-term care.
Kevin also adheres to a professional code of ethics, fulfilling annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.
Away from the office
In the community, Kevin has served on the Boards of the Good Will Theater, BU Bearcats Athletic Association, Punch out Parkinson’s (currently serves on) and the United Way. Kevin has been active in youth sports including Flag Football, Pee Wee Football, Basketball and Lacrosse.
Born in Johnson City, NY, Kevin and his wife Joan of 30 years, are active with their four children; Keegan, McKenna, Brogan and Grady and dog Ella. With strong Irish roots, family is his first focus. While traveling to the many athletic events, Kevin is often taking photographs and prefers to focus on nature as well as capturing a great shot at the goal.
