Working Together for Your Wellbeing

We look forward to helping you achieve your financial goals.

David W. Ambrose, CFA, CFP

Senior Financial Advisor
First Vice President - Investments

With about a decade of experience in financial services, I help individuals and families bring structure and clarity to their financial lives. My approach is rooted in a disciplined, process-driven framework that integrates investments, tax strategy, estate planning, income planning, and insurance — all tailored to your unique goals.

As a Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I bring both technical expertise and a deep commitment to client service. I believe that financial planning is not a one-time event — it’s a lifelong partnership. That’s why I use tools like LifeSync® and eMoney to create dynamic, evolving strategies that adapt as your life changes.

I earned my degree in International Economics from San Diego State University and began my career at Merrill Lynch before joining Wells Fargo Advisors. Today, I’m proud to serve clients in El Dorado Hills and across the country with a focus on long-term relationships and holistic planning.

Outside the Office
When I’m not working with clients, I’m focused on what matters most — spending quality time with my wife, Kendall, and our son, Tommy. We’re fortunate to live near our extended family here in El Dorado County, and we make the most of it. When time (and Kendall) allows, I love getting out on the golf course and enjoying the beautiful scenery this area has to offer. I’m a passionate football fan — especially when it comes to college games and my beloved 49ers. My happy place? Grilling in the backyard on a perfect California evening.

Get to Know Me: Personal Q&A

Q&A

Question Your Answer
What do you enjoy most about working with clients? Getting to know each client in a deep and personal level. There’s a certain bond you create when you go through good markets and bad markets together.
What’s one financial lesson you wish everyone knew? You have 2 silent partners – inflation and taxes. They will always get paid so you need to ensure that you get paid too.
What was your proudest moment? Watching my son grow has been a sense of pride that I am feeling every day. We have a girl on the way that I know I will feel the same for.
Favorite book or podcast? Michael Jordan – by Roland Lazenby
What’s your favorite quote? “To whom much is given, much is expected.”
If you weren’t a financial advisor, what would you be doing? This is my calling. There is no plan B.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you? I spent a summer in college working in Valencia, Spain. During that time, I ran with the bulls in Pamplona.
How do you define success? If my wife is proud of me, then I feel pretty successful.
