Learn About Me

David W. Ambrose, CFA, CFP

Senior Financial Advisor
First Vice President - Investments

With about a decade of experience in financial services, I help individuals and families bring structure and clarity to their financial lives. My approach is rooted in a disciplined, process-driven framework that integrates investments, tax strategy, estate planning strategies, income planning, and insurance — all tailored to your unique goals.

As a Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, I bring both technical expertise and a deep commitment to client service. I believe that wealth planning is not a one-time event — it’s a lifelong collaboration. That’s why I use tools like LifeSync® and eMoney® to create dynamic, evolving strategies that adapt as your life changes.

I earned my degree in International Economics from San Diego State University and began my career at Merrill Lynch before joining Wells Fargo Advisors. Today, I’m proud to serve clients in El Dorado Hills and across the country with a focus on long-term relationships and holistic planning.

Outside the Office
When I’m not working with clients, I’m focused on what matters most — spending quality time with my wife, Kendall, our son, Tommy, and daughter, Gemma. We’re fortunate to live near our extended family here in El Dorado Hills, and we make the most of it. Having young kids, there’s not much time for hobbies but when I can - I do love golf, grilling, and being out in the sun. I’m a passionate football fan — especially when it comes to college games and my beloved 49ers.

IMPORTANT: The projections or other information generated by eMoney regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect the actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use and over time.

Based on accepted statistical methods, eMoney uses a mathematical process used to implement complex statistical methods that chart the probability of certain financial outcomes at certain times in the future. This charting is accomplished by generating hundreds of possible economic scenarios that could affect the performance of your investments. Using Monte Carlo simulation this report uses up to 1000 scenarios to determine the probability of outcomes resulting from the asset allocation choices and underlying assumptions regarding rates of return and volatility of certain asset classes. Some of these scenarios will assume very favorable financial market returns, consistent with some of the best periods in investing history for investors. Some scenarios will conform to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between.
