Early on I was fascinated by investing and learning about the stock market and the economy. For over thirty years I have worked in the financial services industry. One of my greatest strengths is the ability to help clients understand financial matters in a relaxed and educational manner.

I was raised on a farm in Yankton, South Dakota where my parents and most of my family continue to reside. Growing up I worked in the family business, where I worked hard and learned there is always a way to complete the task at hand.

My college career started in Minnesota at Mankato State University and ended at Cal State Long Beach. There, I earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in Finance. 

Over the next three decades I worked as a financial advisor and educator to other advisors. In 2003 I received a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® designation. Every day, I try to bring knowledge and experience to this role. I believe that ethics and my commitment to excellence has been evident throughout my career. Our team works together as we help others prepare for their biggest financial commitments, generally retirement.

My wife Sarah and I are fortunate to live in downtown Coeur d’Alene and the Pacific Northwest has been home for over twenty years. I have a daughter who lives in Boise, and my stepson and his family are in Post Falls.

My passions center around our town and its beautiful surroundings. If it is a warm sunny day, we hope to be boating on Lake Coeur d’Alene. I dabble in hiking and skiing, and you can generally catch me at Car d’Alene on Father’s Day. We recently stumbled across a classic Airstream Motorcoach that we couldn’t pass up.  You may see us on the roads in this beautiful piece of art enjoying our North Idaho scenery. My biggest joy is watching my daughter’s successes as a young woman and making her way in the world.

Within our community, I have dedicated much time to the Rotary Club of Coeur d’Alene. I appreciate how our members and our community give so much to those in need. I am a proud member and past president of our local club.
