Brian Moroz

Private Wealth Banking Manager
Southeast Division

Brian Moroz is a private wealth banking manager leading the Southeast Division of Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth & Investment Management. Brian’s team delivers tailored lending, cash management, and deposit solutions, along with access to highly customized credit facilities to clients throughout the Southeast United States. His team is an integral part of the relationship team, which begins by understanding each client’s unique needs and overall financial goals, then leverages Wells Fargo Bank’s extensive resources to offer comprehensive, full-balance-sheet solutions that help clients achieve those goals. With a strong focus on driving an elevated and exceptional client experience, Brian also upholds a deep commitment to help mitigate risk for clients and the firm.

Brian has spent a total of 14 years at Wells Fargo. He has been in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years, having spent most of his career based in Charlotte, NC.

Brian earned his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University.

Brian is a former board member of the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, the Charlotte Sports Commission, and the Charlotte Museum of History. Brian is a fitness enthusiast. He has run 10 marathons and has qualified for the Boston Marathon 5 times. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Emily Sides

Senior Fiduciary Strategist
Executive Director
Carolina West Market

Emily Sides is a senior fiduciary strategist with Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth & Investment Management division located in Charlotte, North Carolina with more than 11 years of experience in financial services. Ms. Sides provides trust and estate planning education to clients and aligns investments with client’s goals and values. Ms. Sides coordinates a variety of specialty wealth services, including estate settlement, philanthropy, real estate asset management, special needs trust, business advisory, and energy asset strategy.

Prior to joining the Carolina West market, Ms. Sides worked in Wells Fargo Bank’s Wealth & Investment Management division located in San Francisco, California. She has trust and estate planning experience in California and Nevada.

Ms. Sides earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Trust and Wealth Management, with a minor in Financial Planning from Campbell University in North Carolina. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University. 

Ms. Sides is a member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council and the Bar Association of San Francisco.

Ms. Sides is a North Carolina native and recently relocated from San Francisco to Charlotte. She enjoys many outdoor activities, including swimming, skiing, and golf.

Mahesh Rao, CEPA, CFA

Business Owner Advisory Strategist
Central and Southeast Divisions

Mahesh Rao is a business owner advisory strategist with Wealth & Investment Management for the Southeast division Markets and Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico in the Central division. Mahesh is part of a national team dedicated to advising and help prepare business owners for a successful ownership transition through comprehensive evaluation of their available options. Mahesh offers in-depth insight and advice to high and ultra-high net worth families, as well as family offices.

Prior to joining his current role, Mahesh worked at Wells Fargo Business Sales and Advisory for 10 years, where he was a Managing Director. He has been in the financial services industry for more than 23 years, including Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Bank and Closely Held Asset Management.

Mahesh earned a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University. Mahesh has been awarded the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation, the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of North Carolina.

He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina where he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters who share his love of travel.

Christina Raftelis Williams

Private Wealth Strategist
Southeast Division

Christina Williams is a private wealth strategist with Wealth & Investment Management located in Charlotte, NC. In this role, Christina provides strategic guidance to high and ultra-high net worth families, as well as family offices, in areas such as estate, gift, and tax planning strategies; business succession and liquidity planning; charitable planning; retirement and executive compensation planning; and broader wealth transfer strategies. Christina has more than 22+ years of experience in financial services and works closely with clients to understand their personal wealth values and goals.

Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Accounting, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Christina was a tax associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers for two years. Christina holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation. She also earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (currently not practicing).

Christina serves as the monthly coordinator for her church’s “Room in the Inn Program” that serves our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Christina resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband Brian and her children, Alexandra and Nikolas. She enjoys cycling, swimming, and weightlifting; international traveling; reading; cooking; and spending time at the beach and the mountains in the Carolinas.

Debra Romano, CAP

Senior Philanthropic Advisor
Executive Director Wells Fargo Trust

Debra Romano is a senior philanthropic advisor and executive director with Wells Fargo Bank's Wealth & Investment Management. She serves South Carolina and Western North Carolina in the Southeast division, as well as Mississippi in the Central division. Wells Fargo Trust helps charitable individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations work toward their unique goals by providing specialized advisory services.

Ms. Romano works with individuals and families to define and help achieve their charitable objectives as part of their overall wealth plans. This may include gift and tax planning, multi-generational planning, reviewing estate plans, and the creation and management of donor advised funds, private foundations, charitable trusts, and other charitable planning strategies. She also works extensively with nonprofit organizations, where she advises in the areas of gift planning, endowment management, board governance, and other management issues. Debbie collaborates with clients and their other advisors to leverage their resources to help maximize the impact of their philanthropy.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Ms. Romano was the Director of Business Development for an independent wealth management firm in Asheville, NC for 3 years, where she specialized in client procurement, client retention, and marketing. She also spent over 20 years working directly in the nonprofit sector. She has been in the financial services industry for more than 17 years.

Ms. Romano earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications from The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) from The American College of Financial Services in 2018 and received education from the 21/64 program in multi-generational philanthropic advising, facilitation, and next generation engagement.

Ms. Romano is an alumni of Leadership South Carolina, Class of 2025.Ms. Romano has served on several nonprofit boards throughout NC and SC. She currently serves the South Carolina Planned Giving Council, Charleston Promise Neighborhood, and is a member of the Women's Impact Fund.
