Rich Faatz helps clients fulfill their goals by developing investment plans which adapt as life unfolds and changes. He is driven to understand his clients’ unique stories and holds a core belief that his purpose in the investment industry is to make a difference in others’ lives. Rich is inspired from his own experiences to focus on planning to impart a sense of economic freedom for his clients and their families. He is passionate about maintaining a focus on financial education, as he started his career as a history and theater teacher in Plano, TX before transitioning into the financial services industry over two decades ago.
Rich graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in history and social studies, secondary education. He lives in Maple Grove with his wife, Rebecca, an elementary school teacher in Maple Grove. Together they have two children, Jack and Allison. Most of his family’s free time has been filled with supporting the children’s sporting activities over the years, including baseball, wrestling, snowboarding, and lacrosse. In his spare time, Rich attends Church of the Open Door and volunteers at his church’s youth group, as well as Feed My Starving Children.
Joe Meyer
Financial Advisor
Joe Meyer is proud to be a part of a team with a dedicated comprehensive approach to goals-based investment planning. He has been in the financial services industry for ten years, starting out as an associate in downtown Chicago where he learned about the industry through behind-the-scenes operational work. After moving back to the Twin Cities, he became a wealth management consultant and was exposed to sales training and business development before finally mastering planning while learning from senior advisors. He loves having the opportunity to bring direction to people’s lives, and helping clients find calmness and clarity during stressful or difficult decisions.
Joe obtained his bachelor’s degree in financial planning from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He grew up in Eden Prairie and currently lives in Minnetonka with his family: his wife, Jillian, who went to culinary school and is a two-time half Ironman participant, and their three children, Wyatt, Logan, and Addison. In his free time, Joe loves to play hockey, spend time on the golf course, enjoy time at the lake, and help with his growing kids’ activities in and outside of school. He also gives back by volunteering for Special Olympics of Minnesota and Junior Achievement where he teaches first through fourth graders about financial literacy.
Kim Sliger
Senior Registered Client Associate
Kim Sliger loves having the opportunity to meet clients and help make their lives better as the team’s Client Associate. After nearly two decades of work in the industry, Kim knows that she and her teammates are more than just advisors – whether she is helping clients organize their financial needs or just listening to them when they need support, she finds purpose in her work from helping folks feel more financially secure about their future.
Kim lives in Maple Grove with two large Ragdoll cats. She loves to entertain and cook and hosts a monthly Scrabble dinner night with her friends. Kim attends Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie and volunteers there through outreach programs and the church’s garden group. She is passionate about assisting the elderly after becoming a caretaker for her mother, and advocates for the elderly by working on projects like fulfilling holiday wish lists, creating gift boxes and meals, and establishing visiting times for elders in assistant living or nursing homes.
